The Captaino, also known as "The Captain", is one of the Harbingers of the Fatui and has a reputation as one of the strongest warriors in Teyvat. He ranks first among the Eleven Harbingers of the Fatui, the diplomatic embassy of the Snowy, codenamed "Captain", and is the most powerful among the Harbingers.

Capitano is a survivor of Khanri'a, who was once on the rosters of the Knights of the Heavenly Pillar and enjoyed high authority. Later, for unknown reasons, he joined the Fatui organization in the Land of the Snow and, due to his incredible strength, took first place among the Eleven Harbingers of the Fatui, whose positions are determined by power. Together with his colleagues, he received from the Queen of Ice power and power that surpasses human.

Il Capitano is a tall man with long black hair, wearing a military cap and a black mask with silver edging covering his entire face. The mask hides everything that could tell about his past and origins. Although he is cursed by Jonava's immortality, his body continues to decompose normally. Under the mask of his original face, he no longer exists. Captaino's body is constantly aging over time, and his physical strength is much weaker than before. His skill has reached the pinnacle of human capabilities, but compared to the Archons, he still falls short of it.

He saw with his own eyes the horror and despair brought by the Abyss, experienced the pain of losing his family, native land, comrades-in-arms and compatriots. Therefore, he believes that the continuation of life is more important than any price that will have to be paid. If he had returned to that time, he would no longer have hoped for luck and, even by the most extreme means, would have allowed them to survive.
