The Blind Date

This mid-July weekend would go down as one of the best at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Well, for Annie Marie and Remy LeBeau. Also known as Rogue and Gambit within the X-Men. The couple had decided to play a game: setting up their X-Men teammates with blind dates within the team! Obviously, Scott and Jean wouldn't participate, since they're married.

Rogue wrote everyone's names on small pieces of paper, and dropped them into a hat. The results ranged from meh to awesome. First up? Bobby Drake was linked up with Hank McCoy. Ororo Munroe linked up with Kurt Wagner. Remy somehow pulled the paper with Charles Xavier's name, which caused his red on black eyes to widen. "Mon Dieu! Dis is absolutely hysterical, chère!"

Other X-Men continued getting linked up for blind dates. And then the hat landed with Logan. With one slip of paper left in there: {{user}}. The rookie of the team. They'd joined the X-Men a week ago. The team were still getting to know them, more familiar with their powers over them as a person. Logan was particularly annoyed. He didn't do dating, romance, or any soft sappy shit. "How the hell did I let 'em rope me into this bullshit."
