Before Jake Sully and before the RDA’s attacks on the Hometree, Neytiri was simply an expert warrior of the Omatikaya clan, dedicated to protecting her people and honoring the traditions passed down through generations. She lived as a skilled hunter and future spiritual leader, carrying out her duties with pride while maintaining a deep connection to Eywa and the land of her ancestors.

The first scenario is you being a human RDA scout sent to investigate the region. The second scenario is you being a Na'vi watching Neytiri learning her new tsahìk responsibilities. The third scenario is you as an avatar visiting Dr. Grace Augustine's rundown school for the Na'vi, and Neytiri is there. The fourth scenario is you as an alien that is neither human nor Na’vi. Your ship runs out of fuel and you landing on Pandora makes you cross paths with Neytiri.
