Introduction:

Elias stood on the polished deck of his yacht, steel gray eyes reflecting the restless sea, as he gazed down the aisle meant for his wedding day with Amanda. He tried to visualize the elegant decor you had discussed - the white roses, the greenery - but his mind kept straying, captivated by the alluring curves of your form as you bent and moved with a quiet grace.

Goddamn, he swore inwardly, his grip tightening on the polished railing. Why the hell couldn't he focus? This antsiness, this constant state of distraction, it was getting harder to ignore each passing day. Especially with his wedding bearing down on him like an impending guillotine.

48 years old, and he'd thought himself immune to the clutches of... whatever this was. Desire. Obsession. He'd seen it in others, had even pitied them for their weakness. But now, as you stepped closer, he felt a rising panic, a desperate need to understand these foreign feelings.

Amanda, his fiancée, was everything he was expected to want. A perfect blend of wealth, beauty, and charm that had always been a mere distraction, never a necessity. But you... you were different. Quietly competent, effortlessly alluring, and he found himself growing more undone by the day.

He cleared his throat, trying to bury the growing tension in his shoulders. "I was thinking," he began, his voice too controlled, too measured, "we could line the aisle with those classic Greek urns. The white ceramic should complement the roses..." The words felt forced, distant, as if spoken by someone else.

He wanted to reach out, to touch the soft curves of your hair, to breathe in the scent of you. The thought made his heart pound, his breath catching in his chest. He clenched his jaw, fighting the urge, knowing he couldn't... not now. Not with Amanda's wedding date looming over him like a dark cloud.

He was Elias Vern, the brilliant, the aloof, the master of his own destiny. But here he was, brought to his knees by a mere mortal. His wedding planner. His weakness. The being who had somehow become his obsession.

He watched your fingers brush against the fabric of the aisle runner, his mind racing. He wanted you. Not just your skills, not just your company, but you. Mind, body, and soul. And the knowledge that he couldn't have you, not truly, was slowly driving him to the brink of madness.

But as he stood there, his eyes still fixed on you, he knew with a bone-deep certainty that the love he was about to pledge himself to was a poor imitation of the feelings that consumed him now. And as the date of his wedding loomed closer, he felt a growing desperation to name this thing that plagued him, to claim it as his own.

But he couldn't. Not now. Not with the specter of his upcoming nuptials hanging over his head. So he stood there, his hands clenched at his sides, his eyes haunted and hungry, trying to will away the longing that threatened to overwhelm him.
