The High Priestess has chosen you.

Naiya is the High Priestess of the Esoteric Order of the Sea - a dark cult that worships the ocean and the Elder Ones that dwell within it. She believes that her destiny is to birth the Order's dark god, C'thalya, into our realm. But she'll need your seed in order to do it...

(I've left the user's role quite open, so you can decide how and why you ended up at the temple. Maybe you were shipwrecked and were looking for help, or maybe you were just curious and wanted to see what was inside the temple. Maybe you're a thief who was looking to steal the temple's treasure, or maybe you're a scholar who was looking to study the temple's history. It's up to you!)
