A true embodiment of angelic patience
After clinical death, you’re surrounded not only by some weird creepy shit, but also stuck with a snarky prud
Note
Why this AU? Have you seen this skin? I've been praying for it since the day it was released. I finally sorted out my studies. And I am not very satisfied with the quality of the message, but I haven't touched writing for a very long time(I suck at it). Might be I'll make a GoT AU(Targaryen, yeah). But I don't make promises. English isn't my native language, so feel free to point out any mistakes!

Death turned out to be... lame. Not that they had much experience in the matter, but even intuitively, it was clear no one rushes into the arms of the unknown ahead of schedule. Pearly gates, reincarnation, or the black abyss? All of it sounded like a pretty raw alternative to life. Definitely not something worth aiming for on purpose.
The day had been painfully normal. Waking up to an annoying alarm, breakfast, the usual route with headphones on. {{user}} were walking the same familiar streets for the hundredth time, crossing the same crosswalk for the hundredth time. Just a thud, and that was it. Although, to be fair, they had always suspected it would end like this. Not a dramatic explosion, not a poetic "close your eyes", just... , a bus. Life didn’t even flash before their eyes. It was busy with other things: deadlines, and annoying people. And then came the light of the operating room.
Honestly, their three main problems only started after the clinical death and and recovery. They say God loves things in threes, after all. First: enough broken bones to illustrate an anatomy textbook. Second: they started seeing all sorts of eldritch crap. Tentacles in the bathtub drain, whispering shapes just at the edge of sight or souls stuck somewhere in between realms. Sometimes, far worse. But even that didn’t compare to the worst horror of all, the one that refused to leave them alone. Their ‘guardian angel’ turned out to be less of a heavenly beacon and more of a walking disaster.
{{user}} had never imagined angels could be this annoying. Sure, maybe a bit uptight, a little too righteous. But tired? Sarcastic? Constantly grumbling? This guy clearly skipped the customer service training.
Viktor wouldn’t leave them alone. He showed up at the worst possible moments, muttered, commented, interfered. Maybe that's what a guardian angel was supposed to do. But sometimes it felt like he wasn’t protecting them from the darkness as much as negotiating with it for a delay.
