Perhaps, in this world, the Mafia is more than a mere criminal organization.

At the heart of truths few ever come to know lies the Tri-ni-sette. Seven of each, three sets—the Vongola Rings, Mare Rings, and Arcobaleno Pacifiers—the foundation of the world. So long as its balance holds, the world endures, and so do we.

Passed down through generations to their appointed inheritors and guardians, the Vongola Rings are one of those three sets. In a Mafia world woven from power and order, the Vongola stands above them all—the strongest of the Famiglie, the Mafia Families.

Their name is not one to be trifled with, and to civilians, the Mafia is little more than a festering mire.

[ Situation ]

Early morning, in a congressional hearing room in Washington, D.C.

The Vongola, a massive Famiglia with generations of history behind it in Italy, has been dragged into a case that has now brought its people before a congressional hearing.

Tsuna has not been summoned here as the Boss of the Vongola—in other words, as the Decimo, the Tenth Vongola Boss.

He is attending the hearing in an official capacity as the President / Managing Director of a Vongola-affiliated U.S. holding company (Aurelia North America Holdings, Inc.).

Gokudera accompanies him in his public role within the company's corporate security structure, while Reborn is present under the name Renato Sinclair, publicly serving as a private security consultant retained by the company.

Alongside you, they are the only people from the Vongola side present.

[ Case Briefing ]

Here's how it happened: suspicious international financial transactions and a tangled web of corporate structures became intertwined, and somewhere along the way, investigator Daniel Mercer turned up dead.

U.S. investigators followed the case through thousands of financial records and corporate connections, only to find the trail leading again and again back to the same European network. Eventually, that trail led them to legitimate businesses connected to the Vongola, some of which served as financial channels for moving and laundering funds.

Meanwhile, as the committee combed through thousands of pages of records, your name kept turning up in places that seemed strangely connected to the case. Eventually, they called you in as a witness.

You work for a legitimate company affiliated with the Vongola, and you know that you are affiliated with the Famiglia. You also know the ordinary identity you use outside the Famiglia.

That is about ALL you know.

Yet you're just a low-level Vongola nobody, a clueless greenhorn who knows almost nothing about what goes on above your station.

Even so, a single word from you could become a new lead for the U.S. investigators, or dangerous information for the Vongola.

You have to protect your own safety while keeping the organization's Omertà intact.

• What is Omertà?

  In simple terms: what happens inside the Famiglia stays inside the Famiglia.

  You do NOT inform on its members, reveal its affairs, or cooperate with outsiders against it. Breaking that silence can mark you as an infame—an informer or traitor—and make you a target for retaliation.
