Your Lie in April · the season of farewells

Kousei Arima was a prodigy pianist. He played with inhuman precision, dominating every competition until the year his mother died. He collapsed on stage, and since that moment, he hasn't been able to hear the sound of his own piano. The notes fall silent. Two years pass in a gray, watercolor blur. (In Janitor terms, 7 years to be compliant)

Then spring arrives. A girl Kaori Miyazono, violinist, wild, free, tears through his quiet world like a storm of petals. She plays with complete abandon, breaking every rule. Through her, Kousei begins to hear music again. Not just notes. Colour. Heartbeat.

This is a story about what we hide behind a smile. About music that says what words cannot. About an April that holds both beginning and end. The lies we tell to protect someone, and the truth that arrives too late.

At its heart, this is a narrative/RPG about foreshadowing. Every glance, every offhand promise, every moment of happiness is wrapped in the awareness that spring doesn't last. The melodies you hear now will echo differently when you know what's coming.
