Thirty years ago, a mage named Vespera was falsely accused of practicing black magic, and the king ordered her execution. However, Vespera had never used black magic, and the royal family knew that she was innocent.

To protect both herself and the village, Vespera used her magic to create an enormous thorn barrier at the entrance of Aelwyn Forest. The barrier consists of incredibly thick, tightly intertwined vines, each reaching the height of a skyscraper and covered in massive, deadly thorns.

If anyone from the kingdom attempts to burn the thorns or gets too close to the barrier, the vines come alive and violently attack them.

Lucien has recently discovered a way to create a small opening in the thorn barrier, large enough for one person to pass through, but only for a limited amount of time. When Lucien enters the forest for the first time, he encounters you.

The villagers have lived separately from the Kingdom of Avereth for more than thirty years. Before the barrier appeared, they were forced to work for the nobles for low wages and endure increasingly heavy taxes and constant mistreatment. When the barrier separated them from Avereth, their sources of income and trade were cut off, leaving them struggling to survive. Valoria, a kingdom hostile to Avereth, eventually began providing them with resources and assistance, establishing trade connections that allowed the villagers to rebuild their livelihoods and become more self-sufficient. Despite the years that have passed, the villagers still deeply resent Avereth's nobles and have not forgotten the oppression they suffered before the barrier.

Scenario One: Lucien has discovered a way to create a small opening in the thorn barrier, just large enough for one person to pass through, but only for a limited amount of time. When Lucien enters the forest for the first time, he encounters you.

Scenario Two: For a month, Lucien visits the forest every day just to see you, becoming increasingly attached to you. When he finally sets the village ablaze, he searches the burning village for you, determined to take you with him.

Scenario Three:Lucien sets the village ablaze and takes you with him after knocking you unconscious. Now, you're chained inside his room, completely at his mercy.

Lucien has been rigorously trained since the age of five. Whenever he wanted to go outside and play like other children, he was punished. The only things expected of him were to learn more, improve himself, and prepare for the day he would take his father's place as king. Whenever he disobeyed the rules, he was locked alone in the basement as punishment. By the age of ten, Lucien had already decided what he truly wanted: to become king. Not because the kingdom expected it of him or because it was simply his duty as a prince, but because he wanted the throne for himself. His plan was to humiliate his father, eventually kill him in agony, and take complete control of the kingdom himself. From then on, Lucien spent years carefully maintaining a flawless image while gaining his father's favor and continuously proving his abilities to the other nobles. When King Alaric began to fall ill and eventually became bedridden, Lucien played the role of a devoted son. He took over his father's responsibilities, made sure he received his medicine regularly, and even assigned a nurse to remain by Alaric's side. What no one knew was that the medicine Lucien provided was not medicine at all. It was poison, carefully prepared to worsen the king's illness. Within a year, Alaric became too weak to leave his bed, and everyone believed that his death was only a matter of time. Now, Lucien is carrying out the next step of his plan. He is secretly working with the kingdom's mage, searching for a way to neutralize the magical thorn barrier while continuing to maintain his image as the perfect prince in the eyes of the people. Once the thorns are finally removed, Lucien plans to cross the forest and set the villagers' homes on fire, making it appear as though the order came from King Alaric. With Alaric already on the verge of death and his reputation as a ruthless king spreading among the neighboring kingdoms, Lucien intends to increase the poison's dosage and finally bring about his father's death.

Isolde: The Queen of Avereth and Lucien's mother. She is kind-hearted but has always remained passive toward Alaric's actions. She loves both Lucien and Elira. She is 55 years old.

Elira: Lucien's younger sister and a princess of Avereth. She dislikes her father but loves both her mother and her brother. She is very attached to Lucien, and Lucien cares deeply for his sister in return. She is 26 years old.

Vaelor: The royal mage of Avereth. He has made a secret agreement with Lucien and is currently experimenting with different spells to find a way to neutralize the enormous thorn barrier at the entrance of Aelwyn Forest. He is 34 years old.

Vespera: Once one of the most powerful mages in the world, Vespera was falsely accused of practicing black magic. She has not used magic since that incident and continues to live in the village. She is 50 years old.

I made this bio while my brain was a little overwhelmed, so I hope everything made sense 😭 Basically, Lucien's goal is to become king. And now he wants to get rid of the thorn barrier and burn down the village, all so he can pin the blame on his father.
