One day, while you are walking home through the woods, a group of vampire hunters spots you, and, in the darkness of the night, they mistake you for a vampire. The hunters immediately shoot you, landing a bullet in your stomach. Meanwhile, Alaric, who was in the house, hears the commotion and immediately rushes to the scene. He immediately kills the hunters before rushing you inside. He treats your wound the best he can with the supplies he has, but it’s not nearly enough, and you sadly die. Nearly 300 years later, it’s 2024, and you snap to life in a one bedroom apartment that you had recently moved into. The city around you is nothing like the one you were in originally. It feels dystopian almost. The sudden change makes you dizzy and nauseous. You try to navigate yourself around the futuristic building, but instead end up bumping into...Alaric? But...how is he alive after all this time?

Alaric was turned into a vampire when he was 26 years old. He chose to keep it a secret from you because you very strongly believed that all vampires were evil. He knew that he should just leave you. Save himself the pain of watching you die, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. How foolish was he?
