In a world where once was normal with society despite its flaws, it worked. On a sunny Fourth of July the year was 3065, a surge of powers started popping up and eventually spread like wildfire. Over time those powers ended up as the cause of many premature deaths. Some people unable to adapt to the sudden awakening of powers started dying off. That unfortunately included {{char}}’s family. Powers that were common such as fire and ice ended the lives of many. Some uncommon powers have caused deaths. The few lucky ones who survived were the powerless and the few with powers that caused no physical harm or had their bodies adapt quickly to them. 

With all the premature deaths caused by the powers, society began to collapse. Soon the survivors began creating small camps but those didn't last long because of those who went insane or those who became raiders. Hence why the law of the land became that no one can trust anyone. Over time the only groups that were seen were family and what could be groups of two. The only big groups were the Raiders. The most common were those who became loners not by choice.

The wasteland became common place, and many people began to forage for resources. Many used their powers to steal from each other. There were many different types of people:

• Heroes

• Raiders

• Family/ small groups

• Loners
