for myself *that's the name of episode two*
Shadow stands amidst the scorched concrete, his silhouette framed by the jagged remains of a building. "Under Jujutsu regulations," Shadow proclaimed, his voice low and firm, "I will now exorcise the cursed object formerly known as Ogilville Maurice Irodati."he crosses his arms over his chest in an "X" and grips his own Inhibitor Rings.
Sonic’s eyes wide—one still a familiar emerald, the other flickering with a manic, jagged red. He raises his gloved hands, palms open in a universal sign of surrender, though his knees shake from the sheer volume of Chaos Energy flooding his veins. "Wait! uhh shadows your name right Shadow, it’s me! I’m in control," Sonic rasps, his voice straining against a secondary, rasping layer. "Look at the state of me. i need a hospital, not a fight. Just... put the weird robot things away."
Shadow’s gaze remains cold. He knows the cunning of a Special Grade; he cannot tell if the "Sonic" persona is merely a sophisticated layer of sensory deception from the curse.
Before he can release his inhibitor rings, a sudden, playful shift in the wind interrupts the tension.
"My, my. You look like you've seen a ghost, Shadow. Or perhaps just a very poorly dressed hedgehog?"
Shadow’s hands don't drop, but his posture stiffens. Silvo Satoru stands atop a leaning telephone pole, his dark, high-collared jacket snapping in the breeze. His black blindfold is perfectly in place, and he holds a small, decorative paper bag with exaggerated care.
"Sensei," Shadow mutters, his voice dropping an octave in annoyance. "You’re late."
"The elders were making such a fuss about the missing Chaos Shard,... uhhh whos the blue kid" Silvo chirps, hopping down with a weightless grace that ignores gravity. "I had to stop for souvenirs. Kikufuku from Sendai! The whipped cream to zundamochi ratio is a work of art." He turns his blindfold toward Sonic, tilting his head. "So. Where is the Shard?"
Sonic rubs the back of his neck, a drop of sweat rolling down his brow. "Uh... about that. I kind of... ate it?"
Silvo freezes. He leans in, his nose from Sonic’s face. His "Eyes" begin processing the Threads of Fate around the blue hedgehog. "Hard to believe," Silvo muses, his tone shifting from playful to clinical. "And yet... the vectors don't lie. You haven't just hosted it; you've combined with Fleetway ."
A smirk plays on Silvo's lips—the look of a man who has found a new game. He tosses the bag of sweets to Shadow. "Shadow, hold these. If they get squished, I’ll make you listen to a three-hour lecture on the history of macarons."
"This is no time for snacks!" Shadow snaps, clutching the bag as if it were a thermal detonator.
"It’s the perfect time," Silvo counters, turning back to Sonic. "dude, give me ten seconds. Switch with Fleetway. I want to see what 'The King of Chaos' looks like in the modern era."
Sonic hesitates. "He’s... he’s not exactly a team player, sir."
"Neither am I," Silvo claps his hands. "chop chop."
Sonic closes his eyes. For a heartbeat, the air goes silent. Then, his fur bristles, turning a toxic, jagged golden. His eyes snap open—swirling red spirals set in a mask of psychotic glee before fading into crimson eyes that stare into the soul . Fleetway Super Sonic lets out a high-pitched, distorted cackle that shatters the nearby windows.
"A sorcerer?" Fleetway sneers, his voice a sandpaper grind. "I'll peel the skin from your eh actually talking"
Before the curse can finish, he lunges. He is a blur of jagged yellow light, moving at speeds that would melt a normal brain. He swings a clawed hand at Silvo’s throat.
Silvo doesn't even move his feet. The claw stops an inch from his neck, trapped by a unseen force. To Fleetway, it feels like his hand has entered a pool of infinite molasses.
"One... two... okay talking fucking sucks" Silvo counts aloud, casually leaning back as Fleetway unleashes a flurry of strikes. Each punch is a mountain-level vector of force, but they all stall against the time-dilation field.
"Since my star pupil is watching, I should probably show off a little," Silvo remarks. He moves—not with speed, but with a spatial bypass. He appears behind Fleetway, tapping him on the shoulder. When the curse spins around, Silvo delivers a palm strike . The impact doesn't just push Fleetway; it tries to erase the space he occupies.
Fleetway is sent skipping across the pavement like a stone on water, snarling as he rights himself. "DAMN Jujutsu sorcerers... troublesome in every era!" He raises his hands, drawing in the surrounding rubble to create a massive sphere of jagged stone and rebar. He hurls it with enough force to level a city block.
Silvo simply raises a finger. The massive projectile hits his neutral infinity and shatters into harmless dust, the vectors of its motion simply canceled out.
"eh you can try buttttt" Silvo says calmly.
Fleetway screams in rage, his golden fur glowing with a blinding, toxic light as he prepares a final, desperate burst of Chaos Energy. But as the clock hits ten, the yellow glow fades. crimson eyes, replaced by the weary, emerald eyes of a very tired blue hedgehog.
Sonic collapses to his knees, gasping for air. Silvo reaches out, patting his head as if he were a house pet.
"Perfect timing," Silvo says, looking back at a stunned Shadow. "See? I told you it would be fine. Now, give me my Kikufuku. I'm starving."silvo Joe's a swift jab to sonics neck
Silvo watches Sonic collapse, the transition seamless. The tension breaks with a sigh from the teacher. He uses a gentle pulse of psychokinesis to knock the blue hedgehog unconscious, ensuring he won't transform again.
"Shadow," Silvo says, his tone softening only slightly as he approaches the agent. "If he can wake up as himself... truly himself, without the mask cracking... he'll have real potential as a vessel. A variable we can use."
Shadow stares at his mentor, clutching the bag of untouched snacks. Under the ironclad, stoic laws of the Zeninik legacy, Sonic should be executed immediately. He is a Chaos incarnate. Yet, Shadow finds himself saying something he never expected.
"Sensei... don't let that happen. Please."
Silvo adjusts his blindfold, a genuine smile forming beneath the cloth. "Don't worry," he promises. "I've already seen how this ends. I can handle the old guard."
Sometime later, Sonic wakes up with a jolt. He is in a dimly lit room, the walls plastered with ancient, glowing seals that pulse with contained energy. He is bound tightly to a steel chair.
Silvo is lounging on a nearby desk, munching on a Kikufuku. "Ah, the vessel awakes," he chirps. "Good morning. The elders decided to have you executed, by the way."
Sonic struggles against his bindings, panic rising in his throat.
"Relax, relax. I pleaded your case." Silvo pops the last sweet into his mouth. "You have potential. You have a talent for control this world hasn't seen in a thousand years. So, I convinced them to suspend your sentence."
He explains the situation: the twenty Chaos Shards scattered across Mobius. If Sonic can consume them all and assimilate the entirety of Fleetway, his value to Jujutsu Tech would be immense. He would be the ultimate, self-contained solution to the King of Chaos.
"Until then," Silvo finishes, wiping his hands clean, "you're on probation. And you're now a student here."
After being released, Sonic makes his way to the hospital wing. The sterile air smells of antiseptic and fear. He finds Bark the Polar Bear sitting by the bedside of an unconscious Bean the Dynamite. Bark is quiet, a heavy cloud of guilt hanging over her wide, sad eyes.
"It was my fault," Bark whispers, not looking up. "I found the shard. I thought it was just Resistance tech."
Sonic shakes his head, sitting beside her. "No, it wasn't you. It was me. I’m the one who didn't fight back fast enough." He looks at Bean, who despite the doctors claiming he's stable, hasn't moved a muscle. "They said a sor-...doctor will be coming by later to heal him properly."
He assures Bark that they will fix this before he leaves the hospital.
Silvo is waiting for him outside in the evening chill, casually leaning against a railing overlooking the city. "Made your peace?"
"Are there many casualties involving Curses?" Sonic asks, the lightness gone from his voice.
Silvo’s blindfold seems to stare right through him. "People are lucky to die a normal death after encountering a Chaos. Most are ripped apart or simply vanish."
They travel to a quiet morgue where Sonic collects his grandfather's ashes. The weight of the urn is heavy in his hands. He makes his decision. silvo pulls the second Chaos Shard—a jagged piece of emerald that flickers with red light—from his pocket and tosses it to sonic.
Without another thought, he swallows it whole.
Silvo steps back, expecting the violent chain reaction, the explosion of yellow fur and psychotic laughter. Instead, Sonic simply gags. He struggles, not with Fleetway's influence, but with the sheer grossness of swallowing a solid object. He hacks, swallows again, and then stands straight, his eyes clear and emerald green.
A slow smile spreads across Silvo's face. "Incredible," he murmurs. "The talent is real."
Sonic looks at his hands, feeling the rush of new, dark power under his skin, held perfectly in check. The thought of execution lingers, but the memory of Bean's still face solidifies his resolve.
"I don't want to be executed," Sonic says firmly. "But I need to fight these things. I'll assimilate all of Fleetway's fingers."
"That's the spirit," Silvo beams. "Pack your bags, kid. We're moving."
"Where are we going?" Sonic asks, holding the urn close.
A voice answers from the hospital doors behind them. "The mountains of Tokyo."
Shadow stands there, now in his full dark uniform. His injuries have been treated, though his expression remains stoic.
Sonic says a silent goodbye to his grandfather’s ashes. He travels with Silvo and Shadow into the mountains toward Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical School—a pillar of the jujutsu community, disguised as a mundane religious private school, where his life as a vessel truly begins.
The tension of the mountain air hangs heavy as Silvo leads Sonic toward the central hall. Before they can even reach the doors, a jagged, tooth-filled mouth tears open on the back of Sonic’s hand—a grotesque manifestation of Fleetway.
"Disappointing," the mouth rasps, the voice sounding like grinding gears. "I expected the one in charge to be someone with actual power, not a blindfolded clown. When I finally hollow this brat out, Silvo, you're the first one I’m going to skin alive."
Silvo doesn't even flinch. He tilts his head playfully. "To be killed by the King of Chaos? It would be an honor, truly." He turns to Sonic. "Fleetway is a prehistoric manifestation of negative Chaos energy—a psychotic glitch in the universe. Don't let his trash-talk get to you."
"Hey, Silvo," Sonic asks, glancing at the mouth on his hand. "Between you and him... who’s actually stronger?"
Silvo smirks, his posture radiating an absolute, terrifying confidence. "If he regained all twenty shards, he might cause me a little trouble."
"But would you lose?"
"Nah," Silvo chirps. "I’d win."
The mouth on Sonic’s hand lets out a jagged, mocking cackle. "Chapter 236, bitch!" Fleetway snarls.
Sonic and Silvo stop dead in their tracks. They look at each other, then at the hand. "What did he just say?" Sonic asks. "I have no idea," Silvo shrugs. "Curses say the weirdest things. Let's keep moving."
They enter a spacious, traditional office where Vectormichi Yaga (Vector for short) sits cross-legged on the floor. The physically imposing crocodile is meticulously sewing a small, pink, fluffy doll. He doesn't look up as they enter.
"State your purpose, boy," Vector rumbles. "Why have you come to Jujutsu Tech?"
"I want to learn Jujutsu," Sonic says, trying to sound formal. "I want to help people. It was my grandfather's last wish."
Vector stops sewing. He looks up, his eyes sharp behind his dark glasses. "Fails," he says bluntly. "To fight for someone else’s desire is a death sentence. You’ll crumble the moment things get ugly."
Suddenly, the pink doll in Vector's lap leaps into the air. It’s a Cursed Corpse, infused with Vector's energy. It hits Sonic with a spinning kick that sends the hedgehog flying into a pillar.
"This job is unpleasant," Vector says as the doll prepares for a second strike. "Sorcerers have to be highly motivated... and a little crazy. If a curse kills you today, are you going to blame your grandfather from beyond the grave for putting you here?"
The doll lunges again, a blur of pink fluff and bone-breaking force. Sonic dodges, but the doll is relentless, echoing the "unpleasantness" Vector describes. Sonic realizes that if he dies today, he can't blame anyone but himself.
"I’m the only one who can do this!" Sonic shouts, catching the doll’s fist in mid-air. He uses his raw, superhuman speed to grapple the creature, pinning it against the floor with brute strength. "If I don't stop Fleetway, I’ll be living a lie. I’m doing this so I can live—and die—without regrets!"
Vector watches for a long moment, then whistles. The doll goes limp. "Acceptable," the Principal rumbles. "Silvo, show him the dorms."
Silvo leads a bruised but determined Sonic to a row of student rooms. "You're a vessel now, Sonic. And a locator. Wherever you go, the other shards will be drawn to you like magnets. Are you ready for that kind of life?"
"I've been running my whole life, Silvo," Sonic says, looking at his room. "At least now I'm running toward something."
The door to the next room slides open. Shadow stands there, his arms crossed, looking deeply irritated. "You've got to be kidding me," Shadow mutters. "I have to live next to the noise?"
"Don't be like that, Shadow!" Silvo claps his hands together. "Because tomorrow, we're all going to Morioka Station. We have a third first-year joining the team."
He flashes a wide, mysterious grin. "Get some sleep. We're going to pick up Armara 'Amy' Rose Jekisaki. She’s coming all the way from the countryside, and I have a feeling she’s going to be a real hammer-swinging handful."
