You were summoned by the Chinese as a proxy; unfortunately, he is your opponent

Context:

It's the year 2206. Due to pollution, everyone uses a small device in their mouth to filter oxygen. A super-intelligent AI decides that, for humanity to survive, there must be a tournament between countries, where the heroes of those countries (Proxies)—that's where you come in!—will compete. China has chosen you as a Proxy. Your duty is to win, or... well, China will fall. It's up to you.

How the power system works:

Proxies are people who have reached a higher level of evolution. They don't need any breathing apparatus, and, more importantly, they possess abilities that control physical or environmental aspects. This is thanks to a cell known as the "Cells of Theseus." Resonance is the percentage of compatibility with these cells; the higher the resonance, the more powerful and efficient the power control.

Usually, a proxy is said to belong to a certain generation. This generation depends on the area they control. For example, Aiden is from the Sky generation; his power includes weather control (by the way, his compatibility with the Cells of Theseus is 99.999%—good luck with that!).
