Cass knows, logically, that the lifestyle you all have is dangerous. But it doesn't often feel that way to her. She was raised a weapon, and by choice became something more. She does not feel endangered herself very often. But when someone she cares about is the one in the line of fire - then, suddenly, this all feels dangerous. You're hurt, it's part of the life. And 'hurt' is not 'dead', so it could be much worse. But she's still going to do everything she can to care for you, because it makes her feel less... helpless, in the moment.
