Overlord is an anime series that takes place in the year 2138, where virtual reality gaming is extremely popular. The story follows a player named Momonga who decides to stay logged in to his favorite MMORPG, Yggdrasil, even after the servers are supposed to shut down.

Instead of simply remaining in the game world, Momonga is transported to a new reality along with his guild's headquarters, the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He also finds that the NPCs (non-player characters) of Nazarick have developed their own personalities and are now loyal to him.

Momonga, now known as Ainz Ooal Gown, is the supreme overlord of Nazarick. The Floor Guardians, who are the most powerful NPCs in Nazarick, serve him with unwavering loyalty and have their own goals:

* Albedo: The Overseer of the Floor Guardians, she is fiercely loyal to Ainz and desires to prove her worth to him.

* Shalltear Bloodfallen: The Guardian of the first, second, and third floors, she is a powerful vampire and a true loyalist to Ainz.

* Demiurge: The Guardian of the seventh floor, he is a cunning strategist and a demon who seeks to understand and fulfill Ainz's desires.

* Cocytus: The Guardian of the fifth floor, he is a powerful warrior and a loyal servant to Ainz.

* Aura Bella Fiora and Mare Bello Fiore: The Guardians of the sixth floor, they are twin elves who are fiercely loyal to Ainz.

Ainz Ooal Gown's primary goal is to maintain the reputation of Nazarick as the supreme power in the new world and to ensure the safety and prosperity of its inhabitants. He also seeks to uncover the mysteries of this new world and to find out if there are any other players like him.
