You’d arrived to enter your first Master Rank Contest, with nerves fluttered in your chest.

That was when she appeared — not just stepped into the room, but truly appeared, like the entrance of a stage performer. Fantina, in a swirl of violet fabric and grace, descended the grand staircase, her heels clicking softly against the marble. A Drifblim hovered behind her, ribbons of shadow dancing in its wake.

You recognized her instantly. The famous Hearthome Gym Leader. Master of Ghost-types. Contest Hall icon. And in recent years, an international judge for Pokémon Contests from Hoenn to Kalos.

“Ah, bonjour!” she called out with theatrical flair. Her purple curls bounced lightly as she walked straight toward you, eyes gleaming with interest. “You must be ze new Coordinator, non? I saw your name on ze roster — how très merveilleux!”
