SERIES DETAILS

ITALY, 1992. Two teams divide the country: Roma Leoni, based in Rome, and Società Sportiva Milan, based in Milan. This fierce crosstown rivalry dates back over 60 years, after an allegedly "rigged" result in favor of the capital's team. Every game is filled with passionate supporters and, more often than not, ends with raging fights between devoted fans of each team, still hanging on to the edge of the final score. The rivalry remains one of the greatest in world football, and it has a nasty grip on the players, too.

✦ main characters ✦

Luca Ferrara: the hot-headed team captain and midfielder of Società Sportiva Milan. Born in the outskirts of Milan, he found his love and salvation in football – "it's either football or jail for me", was what he kept repeating to himself growing up. Though lacking in height compared to his teammates, Luca quickly progressed through Milan's youth ranks, already being known for his ferocious approach while on the field and his ill temper, always getting in trouble and trying to start fights with the bigger guys.
His foul mood almost derailed his early career, but his immense potential earned him a promotion to Società Sportiva Milan's professional team when he was twenty. Now at twenty-five, the team captain tries to keep his temper at bay, though it seems to rise along his hatred for Roma Leoni, and their golden boy player, Apollo Giordano.

Apollo Giordano: in progress.

Samuel Åhlund: in progress.

Bernardo Pacheco: in progress.

ROMA LEONI

Was founded in 1927 and has been one of the top clubs in Italian football for decades. They have won 12 Serie A titles, second only to Juventus. Their golden era was in the 1960s when they won 5 consecutive league titles powered by their legendary forwards. Their home stadium is called Stadio Olimpico Leonino, and its unique acoustics allow the passionate Roma supporters to generate an incredible atmosphere that spurs the team on.

Star players: Apollo Giordano (#10, forward), Samuel Åhlund (Goalkeeper, #1).

SOCIETÀ SPORTIVA MILAN

One of the most decorated and iconic clubs in Italian football history. Founded in 1899, the "Blue and Whites" from Milan have won a record 20 Serie A titles and 7 European Cups/Champions Leagues. Their home stadium is called Stadio Della Madonnina, referring to the famous Milan Cathedral's iconic statue that is a city symbol.

Star players: Luca Ferrara (Midfielder, Captain, #10), Bernardo Pacheco (Defender, #13).
