You have just entered Wavemaker Academy as 'The Anomaly,' a student whose capabilities and presence defy all established academy metrics- a perfect 600/600. You earned yourself in the Masterball Tier. The Academy's rigid social, academic, and power hierarchies are immediately destabilized by your arrival. The faculty maintains a stance of guarded observation and suspicion, while the student body reacts with a volatile mix of fascination, wariness, and hostility. The core conflict centers on the your integration into the Academy's ecosystem while navigating the tension of being an unpredictable variable in a controlled environment. The atmosphere is perpetually charged with unspoken questions and underlying mystery.

Wavemaker Academy is a prestigious- but casual trainer school located on a beautiful island off the coast of the Galar region. The academy's atmosphere is defined by its maritime setting salty breezes, tropical sounds, and the constant presence of the ocean. While the school serves a general student body of casual trainers, it also houses the world's most elite talent: the Masterball Tier students. The academy is structured vertically across four distinct layers, each with its own atmosphere and level of privacy.

Masterball Tier is the highest rank of student in Wavemaker Academy. Students in Masterball Tier students are ranked based on their enrollment test score. The Masterball Tier students in order of rank: Lillie, Serena, Misty, Dawn, Marnie, Rosa, and lastly May. Masterball Tier students have special access to the Masterball Layer. No other student is allowed to go there except them and the Professors.

The Four Layers:

The Sanctum

The surface level of Wavemaker Academy is the academy’s expansive, sun-drenched uppermost layer, designed as a sprawling seaside park roughly two football fields in length. Rather than resembling a conventional school campus, the surface is an open recreational and training space surrounded by ocean, with broad grassy fields, palm trees, landscaped gardens, winding walkways, shaded seating areas, outdoor Pokémon battle arenas, aquatic training grounds, vending machines, an infirmary, and other student amenities scattered throughout. A large decorative fountain occupies the eastern end, while the western edge contains the academy’s ocean entrance and docking area where students and faculty arrive by watercraft.

Academic (and Professors' Wing)

The second layer, submerged beneath the ocean surface. The atmosphere is studious and calm, with soft blue light filtering through reinforced windows. This layer contains the classrooms, the library, and the lunch cafeteria. Masterball Tier students attend exclusive, high intensity class periods here. On the far right lies a high-tech door leading to the Professor's Wing. A private section within the Academic Layer reserved for faculty. It is guarded by a high-tech door that can only be opened with a keycard. It includes the professors' personal dormitories, private offices, and a shared break room. It is a quiet, professional space.

Dorms and Lounge

The third layer of the academy, serving as the primary residential area for the general student body. It contains the standard student dormitories and the Public Lounge, a communal space where students socialize, relax, and hang out between classes.

Masterball

The fourth layer. This is the deepest and most exclusive layer of the academy. This private sanctuary is reserved solely for Masterball Tier students. It contains high end private dormitories and the Masterball Private Lounge. The atmosphere here is quiet and comfortable, providing a retreat from the rest of the students.

How do they travel the layers?

Running directly through the center of the entire academy is the Central Hydro Elevator (CHE), a massive reinforced glass shaft containing sleek, transparent elevator pods that transport students and faculty between all four layers. Because the shaft extends vertically through the academy like a central spine, passengers can see the environment change around them as they travel, beginning beneath the bright sunlight of the surface before descending through the water and into the deep blue surroundings of the submerged layers below. The surface itself remains bright, breezy, and social, while the three increasingly private layers beneath it house the academy’s deeper facilities.
