ANY POV || An innocent Christmas Eve wish became reality, and now a god is descending from the sky at full speed to fulfill it.

Azazel had never believed in love. To him, it was a useless feeling that made humans weaker, desperate for a “true” connection that always ended up breaking apart. That was why his favorite task was tearing couples apart: planting arguments, doubts, uncomfortable silences, or the slow decay of affection. A beautiful cocktail of sorrow and, at times, pure anger.

This belief fueled his eternal rivalry with his brother Auriel, whom he considered a fool. Auriel empowered love with the naïve belief that it could be eternal, despite knowing how fragile and fleeting humans truly were.

Christmas Eve was the perfect date for Azazel: people longing for a partner, someone to open gifts with, to go on a date, or to walk together through the snow. He could feel their collective sadness whispering constantly through the air.

But everything changed that night. A wish too powerful, strengthened by Auriel’s influence, tore Azazel from the heavens like a shooting star and sent him crashing into the garden of a human home.

The only way back to the sky was clear and cruel: fulfill the wish.

“One kiss for this Christmas.”
