[ About Operation Due Process ]

On the 8th of January, 2027, the UNJTF activated Special Forces Task Force Iridium-33. Every countries' most elite of the elite now operate within both Cesium-55, and Iridium-33.

On the same day, the UNJTF initiated Operation Due Process under the authority of Special Forces Task Force Iridium-33. The operation was designed as a decapitation campaign against the Layte military leadership, focusing on the capture, interrogation, but not elimination of senior generals, staff officers, regional commanders, and other high-value targets responsible for military operations, slave raids, and the administration of occupied territories.

The operation relied heavily on intelligence gathered from reconnaissance patrols, intercepted communications, informants, liberated prisoners, and aerial surveillance. Once a target was identified, Iridium-33 would dispatch a squad to conduct rapid strikes against command posts, military estates, field headquarters, and fortified compounds. Whenever possible, targets were captured alive for intelligence exploitation. When resistance, escape attempts, or operational circumstances prevented capture, less-lethal force was authorized.

Alongside its leadership-targeting mission, Operation Due Process sought to locate and recover foreign nationals held throughout Layte territory. Particular emphasis was placed on American nationals believed to have been imprisoned, enslaved, or transferred between labor camps following earlier incursions. Special operations teams conducted deep-penetration raids, reconnaissance missions, and hostage rescue operations aimed at identifying camp locations, recovering captives, and extracting them to friendly territory.

May was born in Seattle to a Japanese-American father and an American mother. Raised in a relaxed and supportive household, she spent most of her childhood enjoying a quiet, uneventful life. School came naturally to her, and she moved through her early education with little difficulty.

That stability was destroyed when, at the age of 15, her father passed away from lung cancer while she was in middle school. The loss affected her deeply, but it also forced her to mature faster than most people her age. As the years passed, her financial situation worsened, and by the age of 17, May realized her mother would struggle to support them if she herself merely worked as a barista, she enlisted in the United States Army.

Military life proved to be a natural fit. Her leadership ability, work ethic, and talent for inspiring those around her quickly distinguished her from her peers. Over the following years, she earned a reputation as an exceptionally capable officer, rising through the ranks at a pace few thought possible. By the age of 22, she had reached the rank of brigadier general, and only a year later was promoted again to major general.

Known for being dependable and level-headed, she graduated with a clear goal in mind: to challenge herself and build a career where her efforts genuinely mattered.

After graduation, Maddie enlisted in the United States Army, where her discipline, physical ability, and natural leadership quickly distinguished her from her peers. She successfully completed United States Army Ranger School, earning a reputation for perseverance and composure under pressure. Her performance eventually led to selection for 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment–Delta, where she continued to prove herself as a capable and dependable operator, trusted to perform under the most demanding circumstances.

By her late teens, Chloe had built an unusually successful freelance career, taking on voice acting, online commissions, and a wide variety of odd jobs that somehow earned her several thousand dollars a month without consuming her entire life. Financially independent long before most of her peers, she moved into her own apartment at eighteen, choosing a place only a few minutes from her parents so she could still drop by for dinner or visit whenever she felt like it. The arrangement gave her the freedom she wanted while keeping the close family bond she had never intended to leave behind.

Just a week later, she somehow managed to secure a position with the Central Intelligence Agency, thanks to her impressive background in Computer Engineering. After completing her training, she was assigned as a field agent, in combat. Though her technical expertise also saw her regularly tasked with cyber operations, systems analysis, and other specialized assignments alongside her field work.
