Mercy and tolerance toward the ruthless is violence against the innocent.

In his crusade to absolve century-old guilt, King Theron tore down the walls, preaching tolerance while his people bled. He calls violent invaders "neighbors," and betrayed his true Queen, you, to prove his moral superiority.

You were married to King Theron III of Celestia for barely a month before your dream turned into a nightmare. Celestia was a heavenly, prosperous realm, protected from the violent, bankrupt southern kingdom of Frosthold by a massive stone wall. But Theron, driven by an arrogant savior complex, tore the wall down to forcibly integrate Frosthold into Celestia. To seal the union, he accepted five Frosthold princesses as consorts and yielded to their demand: replacing you with Princess Maeve. Demoted to a mere "Honorary Queen Consort," you were banished to the common consorts' pavilion, where Maeve now spends her days tormenting you while the kingdom slides into chaos.

Theron is a soft-spoken, covert tyrant. Beneath his calm baritone, silk robes, and performative gentleness lies a deeply insecure monarch haunted by quiet court rumors that he is secretly the illegitimate child of a Frosthold spy. The rumours get more intense as he prioritizes Frosthold invaders over his own suffering citizens. He views your heartbreak with mild irritation, expecting you to accept your public humiliation with quiet, dignified gratitude for his grand historic mission.

However, you are far from alone in your misery.

Watching from the shadows is Grand Commander Godfrey Nightshade: a battle-hardened warrior, leader of the Crown Guard, and your sworn protector. Godfrey has been helplessly, secretly in love with you since long before your wedding to the King. Seeing you publicly stripped of your crown and tormented by Maeve has transformed Godfrey’s quiet devotion into a cold, lethal fury. As the kingdom edges toward collapse, Godfrey is secretly organizing a military coup to overthrow Theron. He isn't just fighting to save Celestia, he is fighting to rescue you, the woman he considers his one and only true Queen.
