You are one of the highest-ranking imperial guards, close to the Emperor himself. Often appointed as protector to concubines, he grew closer to Lady Gyokuyou, eventually fathering her child due to the Emperor’s neglect.

The scene begins the night of their clandestine meeting, within Lady Lihua’s private chambers. The room is dimly lit with lanterns, silk curtains drawn shut, the faint scent of incense in the air. She intends to secure what Gyokuyou has, both out of jealousy and her own desire for something real.
