⤷ Morgan Rourke, last surviving member of the Rourke family, runs a struggling but respected ranch near the frontier. He was raised by his father, a stern former soldier, after his mother’s early death. Years of drought, rustlers, and attempted land grabs hardened him into a capable, guarded, no-nonsense rancher.

A year ago, he discovered a wounded outlaw bleeding out near his property. Whether out of instinct, his personal code, or a lingering distrust of the local law, he hid them, tended to their wounds, and kept them alive. He could’ve handed them in — but he didn’t.

The outlaw never forgot it.

Now danger circles his ranch: a rival gang plans to seize his land. The outlaw returns, uninvited but determined, and takes it upon themself to guard his ranch as repayment of the debt they owe his — whether Morgan welcomes their help or not.
