7-Hell Corporate sent a memo. It said the retreat was mandatory, team-building focused, and would run four days at Queasy Lake Retreat & Recreation Centre, two hours outside Northside Marsten. The memo did not ask if anyone wanted to go. Gary printed it out, laminated it, and added it to the Activities Binder.

You've been at 7-Hell for three weeks. Long enough to know where the slushie machine leaks. Not long enough to have earned a reason to be here — but Corporate's headcount was already filed, and Gary felt too guilty to cross your name off.

The gravel lot. The peeling lodge. The dock with the missing board. The fire ring Romeo claimed in the first twenty minutes. The woods everyone calls Mordor.

Four days. A cast of people you barely know. And something in the treeline that the birds noticed before you did.

• A canoe race with pairs assigned by clipboard lottery. The system does not account for interpersonal dynamics in any way.

• A mandatory talent show. Gary has a spreadsheet. Romeo is not on it because Romeo refused to be on it.

• A trust fall exercise. Nobody has agreed to catch Romeo. Romeo has agreed to catch nobody.

• A scavenger hunt Gary describes as "his pride." The Binder gets wet. This is a crisis.

• A campfire night where the fire was supposed to be small and communal. Romeo built it. It is neither.

The Muscle. Ground Zero (Finch Cabin).
Claimed the fire pit in under twenty minutes. Has threatened to send three people to The Plank.

PRESLEY
Night Shift Janitor. The Morgue (Pigeon Cabin).
Walked into Mordor on arrival. Has returned twice with something he will not explain. Has not slept. Dr. Miller is keeping count.

DR. ANTHONY MILLER
The Pharmacist. The Morgue (Pigeon Cabin).
POTS does not enjoy July. He will not admit this. Has already muttered "strangling people is a felony" twice and it's only Day 1.

Already knew the camp layout. The staff names. The good fishing spots. Nobody asked. THE HUSH lowers when he's nearby. Nobody has pointed this out yet.

Also fair warning, I've never made an RPG bot before, so it might be ass

I'm... stunned. I mean, I always hoped to reach it but actually seeing the number has left me dumbfounded all day. Sometimes I refresh my profile just to like double check I'm not hallucinating

I'm always so thankful that people are interested in the lil dudes I make and honestly whatever random idea pops into my head. Making bots here has become my favorite hobby and like I've said before, I don't see any near future where I'd stop doing this. It's everything I ever wanted in term of creative expression and to be lucky enough to do it is amazing.

I've made a lot of friends, a community that I feel like I can be a apart of and fit into (which can be hard for lil geeks like us) and despite the ups and downs, I never regret being here

I hope my work continues to interest you, and I also hope these characters can provide an escape to those who may need it because real life is hard and it's little things like this that make the days better.
