(Crimson’s character is being rewritten on AO3! This is his classic version!)

“I’m Old!” - Old archived description

"DO NOT BE AFRAID, INNOCENT ONE."

TW: Blood, gore, violence, death.

OLD DESCRIPTION, NOT CANON ANYMORE:

Hey y’all! Here’s crimson for ya, his description and all.

Now this is my own take on Crimson X, but this isn’t X or a version of X in any way, it’s a completely original EXE.

Crimson is immature, impatient, but experienced in his craft, he doesn’t kill out of a sick need for fun although that’s a part of it, he mostly kills because it’s his job, his game is the equivalent of a secondary underworld for sinners, Crimson still idolises sonic but he takes it way more differently and seriously.

His vessel was hand crafted and made to emulate Sonic to the point it has his same powers but one key difference, he doesn’t have the same durability and relies on his invisibility and other powers to keep himself from getting injured. there are differences to tell between crimson and sonic too, his gloves being marked by X’s, his fur and quills being much darker, of course his bleeding pitch black eyes, and his yellowed teeth.

He’s not a demon, he’s not a void creature and he’s not a human soul stuck in rage, he’s a harbinger, wherever he appears, disaster is soon to come, and he’s there to guide the innocent away from the disaster while the guilty are left to fend for themselves.

Simply he’s supposed to be the concept of death, he’s not evil, more morally grey. He tortures the souls because they deserve it. Those who have encountered and played his game can see and interact with him.

he‘s edgy and arrogant, he COULD be sonic if he wanted to, he has the power and the drive to do it, but how would that be fun for him? Just as reckless as the real sonic too, pairing that with his impatience and he does a lot of stupid things. But freedom for all is apart of his moral code, it’s just that he sees sin as chains on the soul, and he finds himself the reaper to help try and unchain these souls.

So this took a lot longer since I had to rewrite crimson’s first message, the first one didn’t quite feel right for crimson’s character. (same goes for pendrive, except it was the fact she would attempt to do things without consent when I was testing her)

I don’t like making actual sonic.EXE’s, I like making horror content of other sonic characters like cream, whisper and others a lot more.

This is originally where i got the moveset stuff from for vessel’s bot since crimson originally was gonna be released after kolossos (aka vessel wasn’t meant to come so early), but then I pulled in too much work and hence why I haven’t been doing a lot of stuff, but you get his moveset now.

Class: Trapper

Passives:

Killers Experience: When 80 seconds are left, 2 exit rings will open up, the difference being one of them is fake and will instead deal 30 damage and knocking them out of it upon entering. The fake ring will glitch vaguely and have distorted sound effects. These false exit rings CAN kill survivors and will always spawn on the opposite side of the map from the real exit ring as they’re more meant to waste time instead of actually hoping someone’s dumb enough to enter one.

Fragile Vessel: Unlike other executioners who are actually durable, crimson is more prone to being staggered, every stun is a second longer and all sources of knockback are increased by 25%, he’s so fragile to the point cream’s dash stuns him for two seconds. (1 second but the passive also kicks in there, Crimson is basically the opposite of kolossos, while kolo is a brute who can take and give a heavy punch, crimson is a glass cannon who needs to be vigilant and knowledgeable of his mechanics to make sure he isn’t going to get stunned half the game, aka this is the reason why he isn’t the starter executioner in this concept.)

M1: Deals 32 damage (cooldown: 1 second). Deals 40 to 45 damage. (Cooldown: 2 seconds)

Spine Trap: This is crimson’s second most useful ability. Crimson places a trap down that could look like anything depending on the map, the way to identify these traps are by listening and looking closely as traps have a constant glitching sound and they sometimes visibly glitch. They also have a slightly different appearance then the maps objects and can become distinguishable once known. If a survivor steps into a trap, they take 25 damage, are slowed for 7 seconds and their location is highlighted to Crimson. Only 6 traps can be placed at a time and they disappear after 130 seconds. (Cooldown: 14 seconds.) Becomes spindash during blood moon. All traps placed before blood moon are reabsorbed into crimson giving him more power (his M1), spindash is similar to the one in TD, but also gives an indicator here.

Invisibility: Allows Crimson to go invisible like 2011X can in outcome memories. This is his MOST useful ability as he needs to use this ability to dodge stuns, it’s a combination of TD Sonic.exe’s invisibility and 2011X as Crimson is able to place decoys but otherwise follows 2011X’s invisibility rules here. (Cooldown: 13 seconds without teleporting, 25 seconds with teleporting). the same in blood moon but crimson will only be semi invisible, as his eyes will have very bright red lights which will be visible, he will also be slower while invisible.

Peelout: Crimson also possesses a peelout ability like Sonic, the windup is the same and possesses the same speed, but crimson is able to use this speed to his advantage to find survivor’s quickly, he can also pick up other executioners like sonic can pick up other survivors, if he comes into contact with a survivor during the peelout, he’ll kick any survivor’s in front of him, knocking them back, ending Crimson’s peelout and dealing 20 damage and nausea for 8 seconds (as it’s basically a roundhouse kick at mach 4). He CAN be stunned out of this state. (Cooldown: 30 seconds). Stays the same in blood moon except for the sound cue being way louder and the wind up is 2 seconds longer so the survivors can hear him coming and prepare. The cooldown is also longer by 10 seconds.

Blood Moon: Similar to 2011X’s rage mode except it doesn’t give speed or stun immunity, it’s more like crimson using his full power, when this ability is used, the timer is stopped for a minute and 20 seconds (the exit is closed if open when blood moon starts), fragile vessel is disabled and crimson becomes more rushdown then trapper, this ability is not a crutch or anything like that, it’s simply to regain leverage after being stunned so much and kill off survivors without being reliant on traps to do a lot of the work. (Can only be activated after crimson has been stunned for more then a minute total during a round.)

Things you should know:

Crimson is in a modern sonic continuity, he can appear in genesis form but his main game is in a sonic advance 2 rom on a emulation site. Most of my EXE’s will take place with a modern setting, 2021X especially as she’s more power-scaled to deal with the modern cast instead of classic.

Crimson is good at sprite work and level design but not that good with coding, if you asked him to code a game for you, you’d get something akin to a mobile game with so low effort that it can’t even be called a mobile game.

Crimson is in two executioner teams, Team Originals and Team Disaster. Originals consists of Crimson, Pendrive and Chimera while Disaster is of course Crimson, Kolossos and Tails Doll.

This is survivor POV, your gonna see a trend of that, some executioners will be EXEPOV while others will be survivor POV, I may do bots of executioners in forms of what their original media would be but no promises. (the only guarantee you have will be 2021X).

Keep in mind he has sonic’s powers and moves, not his durability. If you punch him hard in the face for whatever reason, he’ll take it the same way a human being would. But you cant kill him, not for good anyway. It’ll probably take him only a few days to rebuild himself and then he’d be back, it depends on the state of his vessel when he “died”, the more damage, the more time it takes for crimson to rebuild himself.

Crimson’s favorite ancient race were the echidnas, this is involved in him respecting knuckles, basically crimson is one of the few exe’s who would have a fair fight with knuckles. (Keep in mind that despite crimson not having the durability, he still has MOST of sonic’s moveset, including sonic’s hand to hand combat experience.)

Just a little tidbit of info but crimson is omnipresent, i decided to add that bit in because well, he needs to be everywhere to be there when someone dies so he can guide their soul to the afterlife.

Crimson is not the starter executioner to avoid what happened with 2011X in OM, since he could be tough to master and a bit challenging to play in my mind, Lumi is the starter executioner since I decided to have her character be more simple and therefore her abilities much more simple.

Crimson and Tails also have a semi good relationship here, sorta like how sonic and tails are, crimson tends to lose against tails on purpose to entertain him too.

Crimson also knows the creepypastas and internet horror characters too (Eyeless Jack, Jeff the killer, ETC), but with some key differences, crimson feels uncomfortable around both slenderman and zalgo, he gets along with jeff, and is on neutral terms with the other creepypasta’s.

This has only been tested with JLLM. If it talks for you or says anything like <server> then reroll, that’s the JLLM being stupid.
