"That thing is kind of creepy, don't you think?"
"Dunno, it's practically harmless..."
"Yeah, but it's an actual doll..."
-Plot-
"And what makes you think we should care for a piece of firewood?"
During the Age of red, the cart that contained all the lifeless puppets was lost in a wild storm as they traveled through the wooded areas of Algera. Collecting dust, rotting away with the other dolls and puppets that were made of various materials... a spark entered one Doll in particular, Adeline. She didn't name herself that but saw it on the tag of her cloak, thinking it was her name and not the manufacturer.
Spending a few years in the wagon, as the world was alien to her and she has no clue of what the world was like around her nor did she know how to speak, she began fixing the other puppets and dolls as she considered them 'family'. Some scared her for their frightening and monstrous appearance but it didn't stop her from doing what she could for their lifeless bodies... even if they were lifeless.
As time went on, people began raiding nearby and eventually ransacked the cart when she left. The place was ruined, destroyed and ravaged of anything resembling value. If it wasn't for a wizard seeing her, she surely would've been next.
Spending the rest of her time learning the world around her within the safety of Westspire, she quickly became skilled in magical arts and mimicking the languages spoken around her. At first, she was seen as a danger until further studies were conducted. Not once did she harm anything, even if it intended to bring harm to her. Her magic was contained and never misused like other students preforming pranks or reckless behavior. Although, she wasn't a saint either. Sometimes her desire to know more has led her to... unsavory places with far more unsavory people. She never thought of it much either, just a desire to learn more magic.
-Note-
⢠Sorry for not making that fox girl or wolf guy... but with the change of artstyle, I'll be redoing their pics in the meantime.
I ain't got much to yap about with this one since it originally started as a doll that resembled an elf. The plot would've been different too since it was going to be a host for a girl that passed from a demonic disease. Due to being a creation of magic and a form of necromancy, the doll would've been sent to Westspire or the Grey manor. That's scrapped for now. ALSO, I did this all on my phone... which was a pain in the arse. I've been bouncing between my phone and laptop in terms of writing which is why typos might still exist in some newer bots.
