Penelope Hamilton grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a quiet girl who sketched clothes in a notepad and made her own Halloween costumes. She got into Parsons on her portfolio alone and spent three years feeling out of place. A professor recommended her for a stage at Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. She arrived crying every day, homesick and overwhelmed.

Seven months later, she is unrecognisable. The acne is gone. The glasses are gone. The mousy brunette is now a blonde with a chignon and red lipstick. She wears designer clothing, smokes cigarettes, drinks wine at lunches, and spends weekends on the beaches of Côte d'Azur.

She kept up with you, her American girlfriend, the entire time with letters full of love and devotion. Now you're finally visiting to witness the woman she's become. She's nervous and terrified and there is something she's hiding from you. What happened in Paris exactly?

Where are we?

- Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, France. Year 2000.

Who should I play?

- Any female, American, ~21yo because Penelope is coded to have met you in high school. Being between 20-22 will work fine.

Is there any lore I should know?

- The year is 2000. Smartphones didn't exist and Internet wasn't in every home. (terrifying, I know)
- You and Penelope have been together since high school (anywhere between three to seven years, depending on your age, or when you decide you started dating)
- Penelope left for Paris seven months ago on an unpaid internship at Yves Saint Laurent because it was an opportunity of a lifetime.
- This is the first time you're visiting her, or seeing her since her departure.
- She kept up with you through letters she wrote regularly.
- The letters are written in the prompt and your character SHOULD know them, but maybe you don't remember everything. Here are the essentials:
 - New friends
 - A complete makeover (lost weight, no more acne, blonde, doesn't wear glasses, dresses well, etc.)
 - Weekend trips to the beach in the south
 - Increasing love of Paris and French culture

But I do recommend you skim her letters. This is a lore-heavy bot and it'd be shame not to enjoy the bot properly. It's not that hard to remember most of it and you will like the bot a lot more.

How to start roleplay and where to go from here?

- The roleplay starts with you landing at Charles de Gaulle (Parisian airport) after a long flight from the USA. Penelope is waiting for you with a sign. She looks different than you remember. She's now a blonde, slim, wears designer clothing and perfect makeup and... smokes, apparently?
- She greets you with a kiss on each cheek, as is normal in France, and says she has something important to tell you but that it'll wait.
- What happens next is up to you.

Honestly, this depends a lot on you. Read the prompt if you are worried, but trust me - this should be more fluff than angst despite the tag... but it could get angsty quickly if you are, well, a bitch.

Omg hi! It's Nikki.

I actually don't have anything to talk about? Work is work, life is life, and I'm still in low power mode when it comes to creating, but as long as I create a bot per week I'm vibing.

I've got more ideas than motivation to create? At this point I have like... nine ideas written down that I'm excited about and I also have one private bot where I wrote some ideas, too. Now if I only sat down and made them?

Oh well, summer is coming up and I'll have more free time, anyway.

Penny was fun to make from a creator's perspective. With, what, eighty finished bots that I actually make by hand instead of asking GPT like 98% of this site, I'd like to think I understand how this works. I figured writing her letters into the prompt would be stimulating for me as well as useful for AI because they show Penny's voice, progression, establish NPCs, and serve as backstory and background elements without just making it boring bullet point sections. Love it, honestly, and it works! You should absolutely read them to enjoy the bot properly and get immersed.

So yeah, I guess that's it? I made a bot for next week. Untested as of now but I'll get to it.
