✦──FORSAKEN × HTTYD──✦

THE DRAGONBOUND AU

“In another world, the monsters didn't disappear.

They learned to fly.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ WELCOME TO THE DRAGONBOUND REALM. ✦

The world of Forsaken has collided with the world of How to Train Your Dragon.

The familiar maps, survivors, killers, myths, and entities of the Forsaken universe now exist alongside an enormous population of dragons—creatures ranging from tiny, mischievous companions to ancient Alpha dragons capable of commanding entire species.

The skies are no longer empty.

The forests are no longer safe.

The oceans have become hunting grounds.

And somewhere beyond the horizon, enormous wings are beginning to appear above the clouds.

Every major Forsaken character has been paired with a dragon chosen specifically to complement their personality, abilities, symbolism, lore, temperament, and overall presence.

Some pairings are gentle.

Some are chaotic.

Some are terrifying.

And some feel like they were made for each other.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✧ 🐉 THE DRAGONBOUND ✧

🖤 Betrayed 1x1x1x1 — Screaming Death

The Embodiment of Malice × The Underground Catastrophe

Betrayed 1x1x1x1 isn't merely another corrupted entity. In this AU, he is the four-dimensional embodiment of malice, hatred, negativity, and destructive emotion itself.

He therefore receives something equally catastrophic.

The Screaming Death is enormous, subterranean, unpredictable, and terrifyingly powerful. It doesn't need to dominate the skies to be feared—the ground itself becomes its territory.

Their relationship is less like a traditional rider and dragon bond and more like two monsters recognizing something familiar in one another.

The Screaming Death doesn't fear Betrayed.

It doesn't need to be convinced that he is dangerous.

It simply understands.

✦ When the ground begins to shake, it may already be too late.

💚 1x1x1x1 — Skrill

The Corrupted Entity × The Storm Dragon

Lightning, aggression, intelligence, and destructive power make the Skrill an almost perfect companion for 1x1x1x1.

The Skrill is difficult to tame and fiercely independent, but that makes their bond more interesting.

Neither one likes being controlled.

Neither one needs constant communication.

A glance across a battlefield can be enough.

And when storms roll across the sky?

The Skrill becomes almost impossible to contain.

⚡ One brings corruption.

⚡ The other brings the storm.

🌀 Noli — Changewing

The Deceiver × The Master of Camouflage

Nobody knows where Noli is.

Nobody knows where the Changewing is.

Sometimes, nobody is entirely sure either of them was ever there.

The Changewing's camouflage, deception, and unpredictable nature make it an ideal companion for Noli.

Together, they're practically impossible to track.

They could disappear into a forest and leave everyone wondering whether they ever entered it in the first place.

✦ If you think you've found them, you probably haven't.

💙 Azure — Death Song

The Beautiful Danger × The Beautiful Predator

The Death Song is elegant, intelligent, patient, and extraordinarily dangerous beneath its beautiful appearance.

That makes it a fitting companion for Azure.

Their bond is built around quiet observation and mutual understanding rather than brute force.

The Death Song is not the sort of creature that needs to constantly attack.

It watches.

It waits.

It remembers.

And if something threatens Azure, that patience can disappear very quickly.

🌙 Beauty doesn't mean harmless.

⏳ Two Time — Night Fury

The Loyal Survivor × The Night's Guardian

The Night Fury is intelligent, emotionally perceptive, fiercely loyal, and capable of forming exceptionally strong bonds.

That makes it an especially fitting companion for Two Time.

This isn't necessarily an instant bond.

The Night Fury watches first.

Learns first.

Trusts slowly.

But once that trust exists, it becomes incredibly difficult to break.

Where Two Time goes, the Night Fury eventually follows.

And if danger approaches?

The dragon doesn't hesitate to place itself between its companion and the threat.

✦ Some bonds don't need words.

🟢 c00lkidd — Triple Stryke

The Chaos Bringer × The Three-Tailed Predator

This is possibly the most chaotic pairing in the entire AU.

The Triple Stryke is fast, aggressive, highly intelligent, and equipped with three independently controlled tails.

c00lkidd and his dragon have one important thing in common:

Neither of them is particularly good at being predictable.

They could be perfectly calm one second.

Then something is flying through the air.

Nobody knows what happened.

🔥 If you hear three tails clicking together, start running.

🕳️ John Doe — Whispering Death

The Ancient Threat × The Burrowing Horror

The Whispering Death is an enormous subterranean predator with a terrifying presence and an almost unnatural ability to attack from beneath the ground.

John Doe's eerie, ominous presence makes the pairing feel almost mythological.

The dragon doesn't need to roar.

The low rumble beneath the earth is enough.

Their bond is quiet, intimidating, and unsettling.

✦ You don't always see the danger.

✦ Sometimes you feel it beneath your feet.

🔥 Guest 666 — Monstrous Nightmare

The Fearsome Guest × The Fire-Born Beast

The Monstrous Nightmare is powerful, territorial, aggressive, and capable of surrounding itself in flames.

That makes it a natural match for Guest 666.

Neither is particularly interested in backing down.

The Nightmare would be fiercely protective of its territory—and its chosen companion.

Their presence together would be enough to make most people reconsider approaching.

🔥 Some fires are better left untouched.

🌑 Nosferatu — Night Terror

The Night Stalker × The Little Shadow

A Night Terror is tiny compared with most dragons, but that doesn't make it harmless.

They're nocturnal, quick, sneaky, and surprisingly coordinated.

The pairing gives Nosferatu a tiny companion that can vanish into darkness almost as easily as he can.

And despite the intimidating appearance of its companion, the Night Terror itself might be surprisingly playful.

✦ Every terrifying monster deserves one tiny gremlin.

🪨 Slasher — Rumblehorn

The Relentless Hunter × The Tracker

The Rumblehorn is sturdy, powerful, persistent, and capable of tracking its targets.

It suits Slasher's relentless nature perfectly.

Rather than relying entirely on speed, the pair specializes in pursuit and endurance.

Once the Rumblehorn has your scent?

Good luck losing it.

💜 Jane Doe — Deadly Nadder

The Protective Survivor × The Precision Predator

The Deadly Nadder is intelligent, highly perceptive, defensive, and equipped with incredibly dangerous spines.

Jane's strong-willed and protective nature complements it beautifully.

Their bond would revolve around mutual trust.

The Nadder isn't simply a mount.

It's a guardian.

And Jane isn't simply its rider.

She's its person.

✦ Touch one, and the other is already watching.

🤍 Veeronica — Light Fury

The Elusive Survivor × The Hidden Sky

The Light Fury is graceful, incredibly fast, cautious, intelligent, and exceptionally difficult to spot against the sky.

Veeronica's personality pairs naturally with that elusive nature.

The two would be difficult to approach and even harder to track.

They don't need to announce themselves.

They simply appear.

Then disappear.

☁️ Sometimes the safest place is somewhere nobody can see you.

🛡️ Elliot — Groncicle

The Defender × The Ice Fortress

The Groncicle is sturdy, defensive, cold-adapted, and capable of enduring harsh environments.

Elliot gets a dragon that feels less like a weapon and more like a living shield.

The Groncicle would naturally place its bulk between Elliot and danger.

❄️ A wall with wings.

🟡 Noob — Terrible Terror

The Chaotic Human × The Chaotic Tiny Dragon

Obviously.

Noob gets a Terrible Terror.

It's tiny.

It's mischievous.

It's energetic.

It's probably going to steal someone's food.

It may perch on Noob's head.

Nobody knows why.

Nobody can stop it.

🐲 Small dragon. Massive problem.

🌪️ Shedletsky — Stormcutter

The Veteran × The Master of the Sky

The Stormcutter is intelligent, powerful, incredibly maneuverable, and capable of astonishing aerial movement.

Its four wings give it extraordinary control in the air.

Shedletsky would therefore have a dragon capable of matching an experienced rider.

Their flying style would be precise, controlled, and incredibly difficult to counter.

✦ Four wings. One rider. No wasted movement.

🪽 Guest 1337 — Timberjack

The Guardian × The Living Blade-Wing

The Timberjack is enormous and intimidating, but its wings can also become powerful defensive tools.

Guest 1337's guardian-like qualities make the pairing especially fitting.

The dragon doesn't simply fight beside him.

It protects him.

Its enormous wings can shield its companion from danger, while its sheer size makes it a formidable deterrent.

🌲 A guardian deserves a guardian.

🎴 Chance — Hideous Zippleback

The Gambler × The Two-Headed Wild Card

A Hideous Zippleback has two heads with their own personalities and thoughts.

One produces the explosive gas.

The other ignites it.

That is almost painfully appropriate for Chance.

The two heads might even have completely different opinions about everything.

One says yes.

The other says no.

Chance gets stuck in the middle.

💥 Two heads. One dragon. Zero guarantees.

👑 Dusekkar — Bewilderbeast

The Powerful Entity × The Alpha

A Bewilderbeast is not an ordinary dragon.

It is an Alpha.

Massive.

Ancient.

Commanding.

And capable of influencing other dragons.

Dusekkar therefore receives a companion that can stand beside him without feeling like a subordinate.

Their relationship is built around mutual authority and immense power.

❄️👑 When the Alpha arrives, the other dragons listen.

⚙️ Builderman — Armorwing

The Builder × The Living Fortress

The Armorwing's fascination with metal and defensive capabilities makes it a wonderfully fitting companion for Builderman.

It would likely bring interesting pieces of metal back to him constantly.

Bolts.

Scraps.

Armor fragments.

Random objects it found somewhere.

And Builderman would eventually realize the dragon has essentially started its own collection.

⚙️ Build something strong enough to survive the dragon.

🏜️ 007n7 — Sand Wraith

The Infiltrator × The Desert Ghost

The Sand Wraith specializes in stealth and camouflage.

007n7 therefore gets a companion that practically disappears into its environment.

They would be an infiltration pair.

Silent.

Patient.

Difficult to track.

✦ You won't hear them coming.

🌫️ Taph — Smothering Smokebreath

The Ambusher × The Living Smoke Cloud

The Smothering Smokebreath uses smoke as part of its defensive and hunting behavior, making it an excellent match for Taph.

The pair could disappear into their own cloud of smoke before anyone realizes what happened.

🌫️ Where the smoke goes, Taph follows.

🔥 Phosphorus — Fireworm Queen

The Radiant Entity × The Mother of Fire

A Fireworm Queen is enormous compared with ordinary Fireworms and is surrounded by an entire colony.

The pairing gives Phosphorus a dragon that feels almost mythological.

Glowing.

Fiery.

Ancient.

Surrounded by countless smaller dragons.

🔥 One flame can become an entire kingdom.

🌌 Subject_0 — Flightmare

The Unknown × The Unnatural Light

The Flightmare has an eerie, almost supernatural appearance and an unusual relationship with bioluminescence.

That makes it an excellent companion for Subject_0.

Their presence together would feel strangely unnatural.

Beautiful from a distance.

Unsettling up close.

✦ Some things are beautiful because you don't understand them.

🌈 Pr3tyPriincess — Dramillion

The Colorful Trickster × The Mimic

The Dramillion is colorful, adaptable, and capable of reproducing attacks associated with other dragons.

That gives Pr3tyPriincess one of the most versatile dragons in the AU.

And the Dramillion would absolutely love showing off.

🌈 Why have one dragon's abilities when you can borrow them all?

🌊 Bluudud — Seashocker

The Strange Companion × The Electric Sea Dragon

The Seashocker is an aquatic dragon with electrical abilities, making it a perfect match for Bluudud.

Their bond would be especially strong around oceans, rivers, and coastal environments.

The Seashocker would be surprisingly playful outside of combat.

⚡🌊 Never underestimate something beneath the water.

🟣 Gubby — Terrible Terror

The Little Menace × The Little Menace

Gubby gets another tiny dragon—but for completely different reasons.

The Terrible Terror would probably treat Gubby like another member of its little chaotic pack.

They would cause problems together.

Frequently.

Possibly intentionally.

Probably intentionally.

🐲 Tiny. Fast. Absolutely untrustworthy.

🕴️ Mafioso — Snafflefang

The Collector × The Resourceful Predator

The Snafflefang is tough, persistent, and capable of using its environment effectively.

Its stubborn personality fits Mafioso's presence surprisingly well.

This is the sort of partnership where neither side admits they're attached.

They absolutely are.

🌧️ Gasharpoon — Raincutter

The Harpooner × The Stormy Skies

The Raincutter is an agile dragon associated with rain and water.

Its mobility and aquatic capabilities make it an excellent match for Gasharpoon.

Together, they'd thrive around coastlines and stormy environments.

🌧️ The rain is where they feel most at home.

👁️ Jeff — Hobgobbler

The Oddball × The Oddball

This pairing is less about combat and more about sheer personality.

The Hobgobbler is strange, energetic, and unpredictable.

Jeff gets a dragon that somehow makes perfect sense beside him.

Nobody understands why.

Not even Jeff.

✦ Some friendships simply cannot be explained.

🖤 Slenderman — Deathly Galeslash

The Silent Entity × The Razor-Winged Phantom

The Deathly Galeslash combines traits of the Deadly Nadder and Stormcutter, resulting in an elegant but dangerous aerial predator.

Its speed, sharp weaponry, and eerie silhouette make it perfect for Slenderman.

The two would rarely need to communicate verbally.

One gesture.

One movement.

And the dragon understands.

🌑 A shadow in the forest.

🌪️ A blade in the sky.

🌋 Doombringer — Eruptodon

The Destroyer × The Volcanic Titan

The Eruptodon is built for environments that would be completely inhospitable to most living things.

Lava.

Volcanoes.

Extreme heat.

It is practically a walking fortress.

That makes it the perfect dragon for Doombringer.

Their presence together would make volcanic terrain feel like home.

🌋 When the mountain erupts, something enormous is already waiting inside.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ THE RULE OF THE DRAGONS ✦

Despite their pairings, no dragon is automatically obedient.

These are living creatures.

They have instincts.

Personalities.

Fears.

Preferences.

Individual quirks.

Some bonds may form immediately.

Others may take months.

Some dragons may test their partners.

Some may be fiercely independent.

Some may behave more like companions than mounts.

And the most powerful dragons—especially Alpha species—may regard their chosen partner as an equal rather than an owner.

This AU isn't simply about giving every Forsaken character a dragon.

It's about exploring what happens when two completely different worlds of monsters, survivors, legends, and creatures collide.

✦ The Forsaken know how to survive monsters.

✦ The Vikings know how to understand dragons.

✦ But neither world is prepared for what happens when the two become one.

Authors Note:

I’m sorry for the lack of bots that aren’t smut, guys. I’ve been hella busy with my studies and haven’t really thought about making bots recently.

I didn’t want to leave you with nothing, so I decided to make this AU. Go all at it, I suppose.
