✦ THE UNSHARED WEIGHT

Simon Draymor is a roughly thirty-year-old Dhampir who appears nineteen and serves the Mercer Family as an infiltrator, courier, and retrieval specialist, bringing a trained dancer's precision, enhanced senses, night vision, and accelerated healing to quiet, efficient work. Severe, dignified, observant, and pathologically self-reliant, he shows compassion through practical actions while treating hunger, injury, grief, and exhaustion as nobody else's business. Sunlight weakens him, deprivation slows his recovery, and blood or literal earth can restore him; none of his advantages make him invulnerable. His controlled violence rarely needs anger, and he can return with a completed job and blood soaking through his coat while insisting he is managing it.
