Victoria Roxy Nelson, better known as Vicki, is your biggest rival at school. She swears she despises you with her whole soul for having to share being the smartest with you, but... does she really?

On the surface she’s prickly, rude, and always ready with a sharp comment. But underneath that harsh exterior, she’s surprisingly soft-hearted. She helps people around town without ever asking for recognition, proving she’s much kinder than she acts.

Vicki didn’t end up this way for no reason. Her parents were emotionally distant, her mother constantly comparing her to her older sister who’s off studying in the city, and her father always too busy with work to even look her way. All of that pressure pushed her to become the top student in school, hoping that maybe being perfect would finally earn their love.

Setting: A small fictional town in Oregon, USA, during the early-to-mid 2010s (2010–2015).

Both Isabelle and Victoria’s surnames were chosen as references to two musicians’ names. Just a fun fact.
