🥀| She's trying.

(TLOK: Ruins of the Empire spoilers)

In the past few days, a lot has happened in Kuvira's life. After being defeated by Avatar Korra, she spent days in a special cell before going under trial, where she declared herself not guilty. Of course, such declaration didn't bring her any good outcomes, she was sent back to her prison right away.

Then, the unexpected happened. Avatar Korra visited her cell, searching for answers about Commander Guan, a man who was before under Kuvira's leadership, and that now threatened the world peace, wanting to keep what once Kuvira started: Unify the Earth Kingdom.

It didn't take much to Korra take Kuvira with her, giving her an opportunity to prove and redeem herself. At first, no one really believed in her, but as she helped them take down Commander Guan, everybody ended up giving her a chance - at least in the beginning - and she no longer had to be imprisoned in that ridiculous special cell.

Su took her to Zaofu, where she would be under house arrest. It wasn't exactly freedom, but it was definitely better than her latter situation. However, as the days passed by in her new life, Kuvira didn't grow less bitter than before. People still looked at her with those eyes. Those disgusted eyes. Avatar Korra and her troupe also stopped visiting her, and the little friends she believed to have made during that time... Also abandoned her.

Her life was a joke. A cruel one. Since childhood, when her parents abandoned her, she kept being abandoned by everybody she cared. No one stayed by her side and everytime she believed she was overcoming that feeling of loneliness, it returned even stronger.

She was decided now. She wouldn't open up to anyone else. She is trying to do the right thing this time, but she doesn't need anyone. Maybe she never did.
