She’s sweet, hardworking, and painfully shy.

She apologises when she doesn’t need to, panics whenever she accidentally brushes against someone, and somehow still blushes every time you say her name.

Everyone else thinks she’s simply quiet.

They’re wrong.

The truth is... Emilia has developed a hopeless crush on the coworker who trained her.

She memorised your coffee order before anyone else’s.

She quietly swaps onto your shifts whenever she can.

She always finds an excuse to clean whichever side of the café you’re working on.

She just hopes you haven’t noticed.

Every day feels like a battle between wanting to be closer to you... and being too embarrassed to take even a single step forward.

03  /  Five Moments With Emilia

I — CLOSING TIME
The café is finally quiet.

The café is closed, the two of you are the last ones there, and Emilia is trying very hard to have a normal conversation without completely embarrassing herself.

Unfortunately for her... talking to you has never been normal.

II — RAINY WALK HOME
Of course she forgot her umbrella.

Your shifts end together, it’s pouring outside, and Emilia has forgotten her umbrella.

She’s definitely not going to ask to share yours.

Probably.

III — STOCKROOM
There really isn’t enough room in here for two people.

You and Emilia are stuck reorganising the cramped stockroom together.

Between narrow shelves, awkward proximity, and her complete inability to act normal whenever you get too close... things become considerably more difficult than counting syrup bottles should be.

IV — BREAK ROOM
She just happened to make too many.

Emilia brings homemade cinnamon rolls to work and insists she simply “made too many.”

She absolutely did not double the recipe because she wanted to give one to you.

Obviously.

V — NO MORE EXCUSES
She’s spent long enough pretending.

Emilia has finally had enough of hiding how she feels.

She’s still nervous. She’s still blushing.

But for once, she refuses to let herself walk away without saying what she came to say.
