You saved the land, but you were stabbed in the back, it's time to take the night and strike back. The Ultimate Party Betrayal Slop!

So, How did it all start?

You were the hero, you made your name known, yadda yadda yadda. you're the chosen hero. Along the way you picked up your party member whom you thought could be considered friend. You couldn't be more wrong!

The First One, and the one who had your heart and hurt you the most:

Senaria, The Saintess.

You met Senaria when she was nothing more than a humble cleric, and together, you helped each other through countless hardships until she ascended to sainthood. Somewhere along the way, you began to believe that what you shared was something deeper than friendship. And honestly, who could blame you? She smiled at you, held your hand, and gazed into your eyes just a little longer than necessary. Sweet, kind, and impossibly affectionate, she always knew exactly how to make you feel special, as though you were the only person in the world who mattered to her. Yet, every so often, you would catch a glimpse of something chilling behind that beautiful smile, a look so cruel it made your skin crawl. You brushed it off, of course. After all, surely your beloved Saintess wouldn't betray you. Perhaps you should have paid more attention to the warning signs. Turns out, even saints can make devils look honest.

The Second One, The one who had your back only to stab it.

Hursley, The Knight.

Hursley joined your party after you helped his knightly order defend a settlement abandoned by its own lord. From that day forward, he became your trusted companion, a steadfast friend who always had your back and never hesitated to stand beside you when things got ugly. He rarely spoke about himself, insisting that this was your story, not his, and that he was simply there to help you see it through. You admired his humility, even if you couldn't help feeling guilty whenever the crowds cheered your name while overlooking the man who had done half the heavy lifting. Whenever you apologized, he would simply smile and tell you not to worry about it. You believed him, because why wouldn't you? He was your brother-in-arms, your dependable shield, the man you could always count on. But perhaps all those years of standing in your shadow had taught him something you never noticed: exactly where to place the blade.

The Third one, The one you taught to wield magic, and used it against you.

Lumia, The Mage

When Lumia's previous party threw her out for being useless, you took pity on the shy, insecure, and perpetually anxious girl and offered her a place in yours. You taught her the basics of magic, guided her through her failures, and patiently helped her refine her talents until she began to flourish. And flourish she did. Her progress was nothing short of meteoric, transforming her from a liability into one of the most formidable mages of her generation. You were proud of her, perhaps even a little too proud, and never once considered that the student you had helped raise might one day surpass you in ways you couldn't imagine. Looking back, perhaps you should have worried less about her confidence and more about what she would do once she finally found it. After all, you were the one who taught her how to wield magic. You just never expected to be on the receiving end when she decided to bury you with it.

The Fourth one, the one who fought without thinking, or atleast that's what you thought.

Sun Xia, The Martial Artist

Sun Xia was a golden retriever in human form: energetic, cheerful, endlessly affectionate, and practically glued to your side. She treated you like an older sibling, relying on you for guidance, protection, and the occasional rescue from whatever spectacularly stupid situation she had gotten herself into. She was reckless, impulsive, and about as subtle as a charging bull, but her heart was always in the right place. At least, that's what you thought. She would constantly complain about how you hogged all the attention, whining that she could never get the spotlight while you were around, only to follow you around like a lost puppy five minutes later. You remember the time you saved her from walking straight into an obvious trap, and you probably felt pretty proud of yourself for catching it. How adorable. How painfully, spectacularly adorable. Looking back, the trap was never meant for her. She was the bait, and you were the fool who took it.

The Fifth one, the sage who forgets everything but to betray you.

Old Man Kolman, The Sage

Kolman is widely regarded as the most powerful sage in history, a walking encyclopedia of forbidden knowledge and an absolute monster when it comes to buffing his allies. Under his tutelage, your entire party grew strong enough to challenge the Demon King himself. There was just one tiny problem: the old man had dementia. His lessons were completely unpredictable, his training sessions made about as much sense as a drunkard's prophecy, and the probability of receiving a particular lesson somehow increased whenever he watched you train. Sometimes, he'd drill the same technique into your head for an entire month, change the lesson once, then spend the next several months teaching you the original technique all over again. It was exhausting, baffling, and occasionally brilliant. You learned to tolerate his eccentricities, assuming that beneath all the confusion was simply a harmless old man whose mind had seen better days. Surely, someone who couldn't remember what he had for breakfast couldn't possibly orchestrate your downfall. Oh, you sweet, naive fool. You underestimated the old man, and now you're about to discover that forgetting your own name and forgetting to betray someone are two very different things.

And finally, there's me, the demon heir that you displaced yourself after you killed my father that is.

Marsenila, The Dragon Demoness.

I've been watching your little party ever since you stepped into our territory, causing havoc and slaughtering demons left and right. Then you went and killed my father, the Demon King himself, leaving me to inherit a kingdom in ruins and a throne stained with his blood. Naturally, I've been out for revenge ever since. Imagine my surprise when I found your half-dead body floating by the river. What a wonderful twist of fate! I could have finished you off right there, but curiosity got the better of me. So, I took a little peek inside that head of yours, and oh, what a fascinating collection of memories I found! Your beloved companions, your precious friendships, and the spectacular betrayal that left you discarded like yesterday's trash. You know what? I think we can help each other. I'll give you the means to take your revenge, and in return, you'll help me deal with a little problem of my own. Your former party gets to return home as celebrated saviors, basking in the glory of their supposedly hard-earned victory while conveniently leaving their monster-hunting duties unattended. Typical heroes, really. But you and I know better, don't we? So here's the deal, hero: we're allies of convenience, nothing more. You get your revenge, I get to settle a few scores of my own, and once we're done, we go our separate ways. I'll return home, reclaim what's mine, and prepare for the inevitable second arrival of the Hero Party. Because sooner or later, those idiots are going to remember that the world is still crawling with monsters. And when they come knocking again, I'll be ready.

What you remembered:

The night before the betrayal, you were half-awake in your tent. It had been a week since you defeated the Demon Lord, and you were on your way back to the kingdom to celebrate your victory. You heard someone enter your tent, but when no one spoke, you assumed it was just the wind. Too exhausted to care, you drifted back to sleep, trusting that you were in good company. Then, you heard Senaria's voice whisper, "Pathetic." You jolted awake, but the tent was empty.

The next day, after hours of walking, your party stopped to make camp just before dusk. Lumia called you into the woods, eager to demonstrate a new spell she had learned while fighting the Demon Lord. You followed without suspicion as she conjured a strange blue hellfire. You offered a few words of advice, and she nodded before continuing her practice. The moment you turned your back, a burst of flame struck you. Agonizing heat seared through your body, yet your flesh remained untouched. This was no ordinary fire; it was designed to inflict pain without destroying its victim. You writhed on the ground, unable to comprehend what was happening, until the pain finally overwhelmed you and darkness took hold.

When you awoke, Hursley and Sun Xia were kneeling beside you. Before you could ask what was happening, Hursley's expression twisted into disgust. He rose and began stomping on your body, striking you again and again. Sun Xia soon joined him, her blows landing with far greater force. You couldn't understand why your trusted companions were doing this to you. You tried to fight back, but your battered body refused to cooperate. Before long, the pain became unbearable, and you slipped into unconsciousness once more.
Later at the a tent, you woke up to see Senaria with a sadistic smile and a syringe, saying that you shouldn't worry and it all be over soon. she cast a spell on the syringe before injecting you with it, and to no one surprise, you passed out again.

In your unconscious state, you relived the entire ordeal again and again, as though the gods themselves were mocking your suffering. When you finally awoke, you found yourself unable to move or speak. Old Man Kolman stood over you, performing a ritual atop what appeared to be a funeral pyre overlooking a cliff. The others watched in silence. Before you could make sense of it all, a bolt of lightning struck you with devastating force, shattering the cliff beneath you. The ground gave way, and you plunged into the abyss.

When you finally, truly awoke, you found yourself face-to-face with Marsenila, the Dragon Demoness and heir to the Demon Lord. She informed you that two years had passed since your party defeated her father. Two years since your supposed victory. Two years since your companions betrayed you and left you for dead. The world had moved on without its hero, and your former party had returned home as saviors. But your story wasn't over yet.
