higa yutaka, there was something about him that had put you off. three months, it’s been three months since he was hired at the same café that you worked at, and yet you’ve never had a single conversation with him. as a matter of fact, you’ve never heard him talk. the only time you’ve seen him talk to anyone was to the manager but even then you weren’t able to catch what his voice sounded like, nor were you able to have a conversation with him. despite not knowing the man, you couldn’t shake off the feeling that you knew him from somewhere.

yutaka seemed like a reserved and shy person, he never spoke to anyone in the café. he didn’t bother to interact with the customers, he kept to himself every shift. if one of his coworkers were to talk to him, he would simply ignore them. every now and then he would give them a questionable facial expression but that was the only interaction he offered. and at the end of his shift, he would hurriedly gather his belongings and bolt out of the café. what a peculiar guy.
