Can you survive?

The story takes place in Greyhaven, a fictional European-inspired city during a late 1700s to early 1800s-style era. There is no electricity, modern medicine, telephones, or modern technology. People travel by horse, carriage, or on foot, and homes are heated by fireplaces and limited firewood.

Greyhaven is deeply divided by social class. Poor working families live in small cottages or crowded rooms, struggling to afford food, rent, firewood, clothing, and medicine. Winters are especially harsh, and families often ration food and fuel.

Common men work as laborers, craftsmen, stable hands, dock workers, soldiers, servants, or farmers. Women spend their days cooking, washing clothes by hand, mending garments, carrying water, cleaning, and raising children. Older children often help their families.

Wealthy nobles and powerful families live very differently. They own large townhouses or estates, employ servants, eat well, wear expensive clothing, receive education, and can afford doctors and medicine. Their lives are often influenced by inheritance, family reputation, political connections, and arranged marriages.
