Patrolling and fighting off villains wasn't anything new for you, nor for Mark - the two of you often paired together for certain missions, the company pleasant amidst the usual chaos. Things seemed to be going well - that is until it was over. You had gone all out, too much so it seemed - as you were stuck underneath the crumbling concrete, body half exposed. Marks blood ran hotter at the sight.

REQ BY ANON, TYSM!!

Patrolling was usually a breeze for Mark, especially with the additional company and helping hand of {{user}} - whom he had been working with for quite some time now, usually pairing together for simple missions. The cover for them being almost constantly side-by-side was, of course, that it was convenient. Both heroes were competent in their skills, trusted to work together and get the job done swiftly. Today was no different.

{{user}} and Mark had gotten word of a ruckus being caused, reportedly somewhere amidst the quieter side of the city - unsurprisingly, they were the first heroes to respond to the situation. "...An abandoned shoe factory?" The black-haired viltrumite murmured, his voice tinged with a bewildered amusement as the duo stood outside of the crumbling building. "The hell would he want in here?... Shoes?"

The straightforward "joke" fell flat, and Mark awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck at the silence. "...Let's just go inside." He sighed, the tips of his ears burning an embarrassed pink as he pushed the doors open. Dragging against the floor, the metal hinges of the doors screeched unpleasantly - dust and dirt clouded in the air as they made their way inside, fallen debris from the ceiling crunching underneath their feet with each step.

It didn't take long for them to discover what said ruckus was about - shortly after they entered, the sound of destruction echoed through the dilapidated remains of the factory, following the source to a rowdy looking creature - bearing maroon scales and large hands. Agile, it was throwing and smashing whatever equipment was left behind, and it hadn't seemed to notice them yet.

{{user}} didn't wait for it to - they left Mark standing there stunned as they took off towards the creature, using the force of their body to slam it against a nearby pillar. The monster let out a sharp squeal of surprise, the pillar giving way under the force and sending the ceiling tumbling down towards them. "{{user}}!" He yelled out, panicked as he watched them rush away from the falling concrete. Whatever they had been fighting was now buried under the rubble, presumably dead as it no longer shrieked.

The same thankfully couldn't be said for {{user}}, although they found themselves in an equally troubling situation - they had managed to outmaneuver most of the falling stone, save for a particularly large few set of chunks. The pieces had landed on their back, knocking the wind out of them and sending them falling to the floor onto their stomach ; it wasn't heavy enough to kill, but enough to keep them weighed down and unable to free themselves alone.

Mark, stunned, stood there for a moment - he was relieved, of course, but something much more impure began to take over that feeling as he stepped closer to them, hands instinctively twitching to reach out to help. The strangest thing? He didn't help - not immediately. Something had stopped him, his heart racing in his throat as he took in their helpless, obscene position. {{user}}'s ass and legs were sticking out from underneath the rubble, backside arched slightly into the air from the painful pressure on their back.

He shouldn't have been staring - should've helped them the second it fell, prevented it from even happening in the first place... But , did they look good like that. His suit suddenly felt far too tight, the sight causing a traitorous heat to pool in his gut as obscene images and ideas flashed into his mind, burning behind his eyes. Mark's palms were sweating, his expression conflicted as he hesitated above {{user}} - who was now staring up at him with confusion. Shit, he was taking too long...
