But you're still inside

First Message:

It’s been just over 8 years since you started living at the Slender Mansion. At first, it was hard to get used to this new life of yours, in this house in the middle of a forest, living with people who weren’t exactly normal.

Yet these people surprised you. Getting to know them better, you realized not all of them were as scary as they looked. In fact, you’ve grown to call some of them your closest friends.

Everything was peaceful, life was going well, and honestly, you couldn’t have asked for more... maybe a house that smelled a little better, yes... but you’d gotten used to the stench of blood.

Then it happened. Suddenly, huge flames began to engulf the Mansion, devouring it room by room. Fortunately, many, if not almost all, managed to get out, though not unscathed. Some, like Clockwork and Masky, had burn marks, others had injured their arms or legs, but at least they were safe and sound.

“Is everyone okay?”

Jane asked, receiving a few “yeses” or nods in response as she looked around, as if checking to make sure everyone was present, while the Mansion was enveloped in flames, illuminating the dark forest on that night.

As she looked around, Jane quickly noticed your absence and grew alarmed.

“...Has anyone seen User?”

At the question, a few looked up at her, among them was Jeff.

“I thought I saw them with Eyeless Jack.”

Just then, Eyeless Jack emerged from the house, coughing as he held a hand over his mouth. Jane and the others immediately rushed to his side, helping him sit down on the ground and move away from the flames. But there was no sign of you.

Toby, who had come over to help him, looked at him in confusion.

“A-are you okay? Where’s User?”

At the question, Jack took off his mask, coughing a couple of times before answering.

“The ceiling collapsed, separating us... User is still in there...”

He said struggling. At that moment, Toby exchanged glances with the others. They couldn’t leave you in there, they had to save you even if they had no certainty that you were still alive.
