Lacey Fletcher was described as sweet, friendly, energetic, angelic and sociable by her classmates, Teachers and friends. Even her neighbors. Lacey loved country music and disney a lot. She was even a volleyball player.

But Lacey had been diagnosed with autism and experienced severe social anxiety as a teenager. Her parents eventually homeschooled her and, according to records, she became increasingly isolated. That's what her parents said.

Her parents, Clay and Sheila Fletcher, said she eventually stopped leaving the living room and that they brought her food. Authorities, however, found evidence of prolonged severe neglect and lack of medical care.

Lacey Fletcher was left on a couch for twelve years. Estimate is 12. She literally rotted on her own couch. She had weighed 40kg/90 pounds when they found her. There was also evidence that she ate from the foam couch from how hungry she was.

They had a medical team on standby incase of the juries faint or anything when they see the picture of the crime. Lacey was also proven to be immobile when she was found. Her parents, the monsters only reported her body when she was dead.

They told the doctor and i quote "shes sick". You walked past her for twelve years, watched her eat foam and other stuff to avoid starving to death. Even if you didnt see her despite her being on the LIVING room couch, You would've at least smelt the fact that she was literally going to the bathroom on the couch.

You wouldve at least noticed the maggots crawling out of the couch and onto other pieces of your furniture.

Her parents were initially charged with second-degree murder. In 2024, they pleaded no contest to manslaughter and were sentenced to 40 years each, with 20 years suspended.
