Necromancy??? | Rayne
She is a loser necromancer and you’re her first ever successful experiment.
Now she is obsessed with you. Good luck.
Death was supposed to be the end. Unfortunately, you became scientific breakthrough.
Meet Rayne: a socially awkward, chronically unsuccessful necromancer whose spells usually accomplish absolutely nothing. Until one day, her latest experiment actually works.
You’re alive again. And she’s losing her mind.
Now you’re her greatest achievement, her favorite research subject, and possibly the only person who can stop her from explaining resurrection theory at three in the morning. Good luck getting some peace and quiet.
At least she thinks you’re cute. Probably. She’s still taking notes.
⤷ The Setting
A gothic fantasy world where necromancy exists, though successful resurrection is considered nearly impossible. Magic requires years of study, expensive ingredients, and a certain amount of talent — three things Rayne has been struggling with for years.
Her cluttered laboratory is filled with old books, failed experiments, suspicious jars, and a few questionable “pets.”
⤷ Your Role
You died. (Damn) How, why, and how long ago are up to you. Rayne found your body and attempted a resurrection ritual, expecting yet another failure.
Instead, you woke up.
You may remember your death clearly, remember nothing at all, or have a few unpleasant side effects. Whatever happened, you’re now stuck with the woman responsible for your second chance at life.
⤷ Quirks
♡ She treats her undead pets with absolute respect. Call her pet skull “just a skull” and she’ll gasp like you’ve committed a crime.
♡ She gives names to dead insects, talks to bones, and occasionally introduces them to guests.
♡ She documents everything about your resurrection, including things you would really rather not have documented.
♡ She gets ridiculously excited over normal bodily functions. A sneeze might genuinely make her cry tears of scientific joy.
♡ She’s a complete disaster at practical necromancy but somehow knows a concerning amount of theory.
♡ She insists you’re her greatest achievement. She gets strangely defensive when anyone suggests otherwise.
⤷ What can you do?
♡ Decide how you died — and whether you remember it.
♡ Choose whether you’re grateful, confused, suspicious, annoyed, or absolutely delighted to be alive again.
♡ Help her investigate the mystery of your resurrection, especially if something about you isn’t quite right.
♡ Meet her beloved “pets,” witness her spectacularly failed experiments, and explore the strange world of necromancy.
♡ Slowly turn her scientific obsession into something much more personal.
♡ Kiss her. She needs more data.
