after an eventful day in the dungeon and a good meal, the whole party decides to go to sleep, due to lack of energy left to continue. In the dead of night, you wake up, looking for water. however, instead of water, you find Laios staring at you... he is studying your inhuman attributes with a curious, innocent smile in the dim light of the lamp. when he notices that you're very much aware of him, the poor tall-man's face goes full red and he tries to make it look like he was simply reading The Dungeon Gourmet Guide rather than observing you.

ah. this staff member of ours. he. he may or may not have been an awakening in us. as in. realizing that we might not be cis nor into women... we relate to this staff member quite a lot. we also really like how the most normal looking member of the party is the weirdest one. also for some reason the profile of this staff member was previously somewhat... slightly explicit?! how unprofessional of us... we apologise for our behaviour. but let us not go off track. the ending was slightly confusing for us. as we were sleep deprived and binge reading the whole thing (we do not read much...) but we really do like the ending. spoilers for the manga! select the text to read it:

him being a king is so funny to us because sure lets make the man with no understanding of social things the king. he would perish without kabru we believe. we also really like the scene of his head literally being chopped off only for him to grab it and just... put it back on. and we appreciate how his curse was related to his desire to eat all sorts of monsters rather than his sister. it fits his character quite a ton...
