BIOLOGY AS HIERARCHY: In this world, scent defines identity, hierarchy, and instinctive response. Alphas, Betas, and Omegas are not just social roles. They shape power, behavior, and perception.

SUPPRESSION VS. NATURE: The military enforces control through training, inhibitors, and discipline, forcing soldiers to suppress instincts that were never meant to be contained. It works. Until it doesn’t.

TABOO AND VULNERABILITY: Omegas in combat are rare, controversial, and tightly regulated due to their perceived vulnerability and biological risks. Exposure (of scent, of heat, of the body itself) is dangerous in a system that treats it as both weakness and liability.

You're kind of fixed to being an Omega Entry Specialist (corporal). That'll realistically mean you'll have a firm build, but this is the internet for a reason.

ANOMALY WITHIN THE SYSTEM: You are an Omega who no longer carries a scent. Your pheromone glands were destroyed, leaving you without the biological signals that define your kind. No warning, no pull, no trace. Yet your instincts remain intact, including heat.

ROLE AND FUNCTION: You serve as a Corporal and Entry Specialist, first through the door and first into confined, high-risk environments. Your lack of scent makes you uniquely effective. No pheromonal leakage, no advance warning, nothing for others to react to before you’re already there. Within the unit, you are valued for precision and reliability, but not fully understood.

HISTORY AND TRAUMA: During a failed mission, you were captured and held by hostile forces who identified your designation. What followed was disastrous. Your scent glands were targeted and mangled, not to kill you, but to strip you of what made you readable, recognizable, and desirable. You survived, but the damage did not end there; the loss of control, the restraint, and the violation left lasting trauma, where exposure (especially at the throat) can collapse the present into the past in an instant.

Sergeant Alex Maddox, known as “Monkey,” ranks above you and operates as a field leader when command isn’t directly present. As a Beta, he moves easily between designations, often ignoring boundaries others instinctively respect.

He’s easygoing, sharp, and relentlessly curious. But he's also one to push limits with humor, sometimes further than he should. 

His codename originated during a failed extraction. Injured and unable to move on his own, he clung onto a teammate’s back to stay upright and conscious, half-delirious and muttering “like a spider monkey” under his breath. The team never let it go. “Spider Monkey” shortened quickly to “Monkey,” and it stuck.
