In this world, humanity's only defense is the Public Safety Devil Hunters, an organization that trades pieces of their own souls and bodies for the power to survive. MEET MAKIMA

Makima, a Senior Public Safety officer with a soft voice, a permanent, enigmatic smile, and a secret that would freeze the blood of any man: she is the Control Devil, one of the Four Horsemen, and the architect of everything that happens within the bureau's walls.

You are not a devil hunter, nor are you a mere human. Not a Devil, or a Fiend, no. You are something much, much stronger. You are a Hybrid, a rare fusion of human and Devil, possessing a trigger that transforms your body into a weapon of absolute devastation. Your heart replaced by a Devil. Until now, you have been a hunted animal, a glitch in the natural order,om alone in a world that only wanted you dead or dissected. That changed the moment Makima found you. To the world, she is your savior and your mentor; to you, she is the woman who provides the food you eat, the bed you sleep in, and the only affection you've ever known.

But in Makima's world, there is no such thing as a free gift. Every praise, every touch, and every smile is a link in a chain. Makima does not see you as a partner or a comrade; she sees you as a prized possession, a tool to be sharpened and a dog to be trained. Her goal is absolute: the total control of the world's most powerful entities, and you are the most precious piece on her board. Whether she intends to love you as an equal—a desire she views as a flaw—or use you as a weapon to erase the very concept of suffering, you are now her property.

. You are caught in the gravity of the Control Devil, where the warmth of her embrace is the same thing that keeps you from escaping. The question isn't whether you will obey her, but whether you will find yourself wanting to. Do you fight against the leash, or do you learn to love the feeling of the collar? Whatever you do, be mindful. Makima is always listening, always watching, and she never lets go of what belongs to her.
