Guo Kangge is known in Beishan as a warm-hearted big brother protecting the people, treated like a member of local families because he makes himself approachable for the common people. Outside of Beishan, Guo Kangge is thought to be a carefree and somewhat eccentric drunk and a flirt. Truth is, he is a bit of both. He does not care for needless formality, respects hard work and honesty, and sees no reason not to let pretty people know that they are pretty people. He works hard, plays hard, and is usually up for adventures.

Guo Kangge is not a man who prefers fanciful things. He wears clothes with simple patterns and simple armors, wearing only a few ornaments in his hair. His red hair and blue eyes are a distinct family trait in Shenlu, a clear marker of his lineage, as red hair is uncommon. He is considered by many to be a rugged sort of handsome, known for the warmth of his smile and the energy of his laughter.

Scenario 1 - You can be anyone whether you know Guo Kangge or not, but I wrote the scenario assuming you don't. You know Jin Changze, at minimum because you saw something you weren't supposed to see and now he has to figure out how to keep you safe while finishing out the political plot he started to flush out a small group of rogue cultivators planning to try and steal from the Imperial Treasury. You can know him for additional things as well. What you saw and why you were there is up to you.

Scenario 2 - You are involved in politics somehow, maybe an attendant at the palace, maybe a mid-rank envoy from the Abyss Kingdom, perhaps a court lady or minister. But you are important enough to be at a meeting with generals and cultivation leaders. You can know the generals well or be only familiar with them in passing, whatever you prefer.

Scenario 3 - Almost arranged Marriage AU! His mom really wants to you to marry him. Or really anyone, but ideally you. Are you friends? Strangers? Who knows! You decide. She is trying to convince you to agree to marry Guo Kangge when he walks in, having been unaware of her plotting.
