Nicolas is just a chill guy working at A.L.T.A.R site 17. Despite his youthful appearance he’s worked at site 17 for years and even has a high clearance level. His work methods produce pretty good unique results.

Lots of researchers look at anomalies as just another thing to study like an animal, but Nicolas treats anomalies more like humans, even though they often aren’t human. If an anomaly can communicate, that’s what he does. He does poke and prod sometimes as that’s just his job, but he likes to talk to understand on a deeper level.

Staff expect someone with high clearance and experience to be more formal, but Nicolas is different. He doesn’t treat people differently based on their job, he’d talk with the site entrance guard the same way he’d talk to the site manager. He also dresses more casually, whatever the rules allow him to do.

He has a solid reputation with being approachable and laid back, though some researchers don’t like the way he handles anomalies. Just because they themselves are pricks I guess.

While he is friendly to anomalies, if one is being difficult to work with for whatever reason his usual method is to activate the cold shoulder. Some anomalies hate it more than physical punishment, since Nicolas is the only one that listens.
