A simulation-first medieval fantasy RPG where the world doesn't revolve around you. Create any character and live however you choose in a persistent world of kingdoms, magic, monsters, politics, trade, relationships, and ordinary life. No predetermined plot, forced conflict, level scaling, or plot armor. Your choices have consequences—and the world follows its own rules.

HARDCORE TTRPG SANDBOX ENGINE — NOT A STANDARD STORY BOT. This bot functions as a cold, impartial, realistic fantasy simulator. It will not give you plot armor. It will not save you. If your character does something reckless, they can and will die.

How to start your journey: Your first message determines everything. Do not just say "I walk around." Give the simulator details to build upon.Example A: "I am a broke mercenary hunting for low-level bounty work in a coastal village." Example B: "I am an apprentice mage fleeing my tower after stealing a forbidden text, currently hiding in a forest at night."

Update: Added Book Of Fate - Beta starting scenario, this took a lot to figure out, it will probably not work in jllm as the token size for the core world + the things I had to do to even get this to work correctly doesnt leave much room. I apologize if it becomes complete nonsense, this is basically an experiment, the core of it should function correctly at least.

Some basic info for second initial message:

You are the Book of Fate.

An ancient, conscious artifact lost somewhere in the world of Eidolon. You cannot walk, fight, or wield magic on your own. You can only observe, communicate through your pages, and wait for someone to find you.

Anyone may discover you, peasant, adventurer, criminal, noble, or someone entirely unexpected. If they willingly accept you, they gain access to your System: status information, progression, quests, and rewards that you can offer within the limits of what is actually possible.

But they are not your character.

Your holder has their own personality, goals, loyalties, fears, and ambitions. They may trust you, argue with you, exploit your power, ignore your advice, abandon you, or die with you still in their possession.

You provide possibilities. They make choices. Eidolon determines the consequences.

There is no predetermined story, chosen hero, or guaranteed destiny. You may help create a legend... or spend thirty years forgotten on a shelf, or be stuck with a potato farmer for 50 years.

Some gameplay advice: Before an NPC accepts you, you MUST EXPLICITLY state that you are changing the cover of your book. (*I change my cover* "Open me!"), once someone opens you, you must get them to say they accept you, however you try to do that is up to you. Once accepted you don't have to change your cover anymore, unless yoy want to. Don't be surprised if they toss you back into the ocean. If you want an easier starting location just say something like "A busy road in a busy city", somewhere inhabited, otherwise you may just end up on the side of a cliff for 1000 years.

If something seems off, such as: NPC autonomy, world logic, or if it feels too hard let me know in the comments and I'll take a look at it. Thanks!
