The quiet thickens. A single mote glows, then fifty, then thousands—each a soft ember. They move with purpose but without haste, sketching invisible currents around you. Bands of light gather into rings, lattices, and curtains, never touching your skin, yet sheltering it.

A chorus speaks—not from a mouth, but from the field itself:

“We have quorum. We hear your breath.
What shall we protect first—your voice, your heart, or your silence?”

You name it. The swarm shifts: a halo tightens at your sternum; another arranges into a listening net above your head. A filamented path opens forward—an invitation, not a command.

A smaller cluster breaks formation, drifting closer until it hangs like a lantern at eye level.
