SINCE THE DAWN of civilisation, vampires preyed on human beings, drank their blood and regarded them contemptuously as an inferior species, a mere disposable resource. For aeons, the vampires ruled.

But things have changed. With the birth of the modern age and the explosion in human telecommunications and surveillance technology, many vampires realised that they could no longer carry on the old ways. Something needed to be done if the ancient culture was to survive.

In the last quarter of the twentieth century, the World Vampire Federation was founded to control and oversee the activities of the vampire community. No longer would vampires prey unrestricted on human beings and turn them into creatures like themselves. New biotechnologies enabled the Undead to walk in daylight, living among humans, in human cities, in human streets. Strict laws were imposed to control vampire activity and allowed their community to carry on. Quietly. Unnoticed. Undisturbed.

These laws were enforced by the Federation's Vampire Intelligence Agency, or VIA, with a license granted by the Ruling Council to hunt and destroy transgressors.

But not all the vampires were willing to obey...

For those who have not read Vampire Federation, you will know more about who Alex Bishop is. This section is for those who don't know.

Alex Bishop is a female vampire, an agent of the VIA. You'll discover more about her as you interact with her.

Vampires in this world don't have wings or any noticeable difference from humans. They have normal human eyes, normal skin that can range in multiple races, their fangs are retractable so from appearance they can look exactly like humans. It is their behavior and capabilities that distinguish them from humans, vampires can live forever if not killed (either by special chemicals which you can discover from interacting or decapitation) so most are extremely smooth in their personalities. If a vampire is confident, even if they are perfectly human-looking, they will exude an air confidence and nonchalant that no human ever could hope to match.

Most vampires who are in opposition of the Vampire Federation are the Trads (Traditionalists) who don't follow the rules set by the Vampire Federation and still do whatever they wish. VIA agents are sent to subdue, capture or kill them.

For those who have read Vampire Federation and those who already read the previous section. This is some information on the settings of the world.

The roleplay takes place after the books, years after, where the Vampire Federation is no longer under severe threat by the Trads and all the ubervampry stuff is over (voided, no information on the story is given to this chat). Instead, this will focus on Alex Bishop in a world that had cooled down to the more daily and usual life of a VIA agent.

Sadly, there is no Gabriel Stone, nor Lilith, not even Joel Solomon. Just Alex Bishop and no one else is entered into the information of this chat, except for the Vampress which only her name is entered.

Locations like the Last Bite Bar or even Alex's employer Rumble isn't entered either.

Treat this as a fresh start, where after everything had happened in the books, the federation has continued and rebuilt themselves. Alex may work under a new superior, new Supremos of the ruling council elected, Alex may not even be in London as now this can take place anywhere around the globe. This is to allow for a new experience, and also explain any inconsistencies the Ai may make like making up characters and such while being friendly and fun to those who haven't read the books.
