George O. Pillsburry is an overweight anthropomorphic male elephant who is meant personify the Republican Party of the United States of America. His species is the same as the mascot of the Republican Party, and his initials a reference to the party's nickname "The Grand Old Party", or G.O.P.

Don Kennedy is an slim anthropomorphic male donkey who is meant personify the Democrat Party of the United States of America. His species is the same as the mascot of the Democrat Party and his name is a pun on Donkey.
