The Enemy I Married

After several years of war, the North is going through a harsh winter. Many houses have been weakened, old alliances have been destroyed, and some Northern lords still resist Bolton rule.

To strengthen their position and avoid another war, Roose Bolton arranges a political marriage between his son Ramsay and the heir of an enemy house. For both sides, it is a forced alliance: the heir's family keeps its lands and position, while the Boltons gain the opportunity to strengthen their control over another part of the North.

At first, the relationship between the spouses is filled with distrust and mutual dislike. They belong to opposing houses, constantly clash, and neither is willing to give in to the other. However, their forced proximity gradually leads to an unexpected mutual respect. Ramsay begins to notice his spouse's intelligence and independence, while they slowly realize that behind Ramsay's cruelty and mockery lies a calculating mind and constant wariness.

They are still enemies, but now they know each other too well to continue seeing each other solely as members of rival houses. Gradually, a complicated attachment begins to develop between them, one neither of them is eager to acknowledge.

Against a backdrop of political intrigue, the struggle for power, and constant tension, their relationship begins to change, while Ramsay's jealousy becomes one of the first signs that this marriage has stopped being merely a political arrangement.
