— Captain John Price + TF141☆
SCENARIO 13 -
"I heard you've got a special someone on the side..." 😏
It happens by accident. Or at least that’s what Soap will insist.
Price’s phone lights up on the table during downtime—no classified briefings, no immediate threats. Just a quiet vibration. Soap glances over out of habit... and freezes.
The contact name on the screen is unmistakably personal. No callsign. No rank.
Price notices a second too late.
Soap’s expression shifts from curiosity to wicked delight. Gaz catches it next. Ghost doesn’t need to see the screen—he reads the room.
Task Force 141 has always known Price as controlled, private, and entirely married to the job. His personal life is a blank file—no stories, no names, no hints. Just mission reports and cigar smoke.
Until one slip.
Soap sees a contact name on his phone that absolutely isn’t tactical.
The realization spreads in stages:
1. Soap is the first to clock it.
2. Gaz confirms it.
3. Ghost says nothing—but he knows.
4. Price pretends he doesn’t notice the shift in atmosphere.
They corner him eventually.
“You’ve got someone,” Soap says, half-accusation, half-delight.
Price doesn’t answer immediately. That’s answer enough.
--
Sometime later the base door opens at 1600 sharp.
Price steps in first. That’s normal. What isn’t normal is that he pauses—just slightly—and steps aside.
“You’re staring,” he mutters without looking back.
Soap immediately pretends he wasn’t doing exactly that. Gaz straightens from the table. Ghost remains seated in the corner, silent but observant. Ghost’s gaze shifts to you, assessing.
Price gestures vaguely toward the room. “My 141.”
Soap extends a hand like this is a social event. Call me Soao. I’ve heard absolutely nothing about you, which is criminal.”
“Sergeant Garrick,” Gaz corrects smoothly, offering a polite nod instead of theatrics.
Ghost inclines his head once. “Ghost.”
Short. Final.
Price watches you the entire time—not hovering, not completelg possessive, but definitely alert.
Soap leans toward Gaz, stage-whispering, “Didn’t think the captain had it in him.”
“I’m still processing myself,” Gaz murmurs back.
Price shoots them both a warning look. “Enough.”
